Spiral Ornament Tutorial
>> Sunday, August 28, 2011
Welcome!
Last week I promised you a tutorial on our new spiral ornament demo, and I'm happy to say all went well this week and here it is! Yeah!
Cut four pieces of white cs to approx. 4 1/4 x 3 1/4 and brayer fresh green, turquoise, violet and raspberry inks on each piece. After drying, stamp our Spiral Oval or Circle using clear versamark ink, emboss with silver ep and cut out.
Score a line down the center of the back
and fold with the stamped sides out
cut out center (if desired).
You should have four pieces
On the back of one piece apply tape and adhere cord and a center charm if desired. (I used two 1/2" crystal jewels taped back to back with silver cord in between)
Fold one of the remaining pieces right sides together and adhere to the left side lining up the center folds and outside scallops. Do the same with the last 2 pieces adding more tape as needed.
I added glue and purple glitter to the outside edges and then added some dimensional white liquid pearls for a little added zing!
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Apple 4 Teacher
>> Friday, August 26, 2011
Anyway, I thought this cool Teacher Tools image would work well for a thank you or welcome card for a teacher. I colored it w/ markers and cut it out. The big apple and apple cut out were done w/ a Cricut machine. I added the Lines O'Plenty background on the green frame. The sentiment was split up to fit the space and after I die cut the circle out from it, I decided I liked the way it framed the circle so I attached it as is. A little punched apple and a couple of buttons finished it off.

Supplies:
stamps: Teacher Tools, For Someone Special, Lines O'Plenty
paper: white, red, green, yellow
ink: VersaFine onyx, VersaMark
accessories: markers, SAMJ (stamp-a-ma-jig), Spellbinders circles dies, Cricut and Plantain Schoolbook cartridge, small apple punch, buttons

FRISKY FLORENCE AND SOME HOT COCOA
>> Wednesday, August 24, 2011
Hello Everyone!!! This is Chrissy Dickinson from Wisconsin stopping by to share a few cards with you today!!
On my second card, Frisky Florence is in the spot light! I used a Black Marker and colored the portion of It's Your Birthday on the the Hot Diggity Dog Birthday greeting. For the card base, I used the A7 Scallop Card and ran it through my Big Shot with the Sizzix Flowers and Flourish folder. The Spellbinders I used were the Labels 18 and the Tags Trio. I added a small strip of pink grosgrain and used the Viva Pearl Pen Translucent as an accent. I also used felt flowers and silver brads and gave it a bit of dimension by using Glue Dots to adhere it all together!
I hope you enjoyed my projects! Thank you for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!!

Golfer Duff
>> Friday, August 19, 2011
by Julie Warner - The Write Stuff
Don't you love the name of the image? Golfer Duff. Reminds me a little of my husband. Quite a few years ago when we lived in a partially finished subdivision, he was out in front practicing his swing. He used to hit balls across the several unfinished streets and pay neighbor kids to shag the balls. So he's out there one day and my daughter and I are on the couch in the living room. All of a sudden, there is a big CRASH, my glasses fly off my face and this golf ball lands about 3 inches in front of the tv. I wish I had a picture of the look on his face. Apparently, when he struck that ball, it hit the curb across the street and bounced back through the front window of our house. I guess if it had come any closer to me, I'd have had one monster head ache, lol. I still tease him about that one.
I used a little stack of pigment inks that comes in coordinating colors to stamp the Golf word repeatedly. I also used it to make the narrow woven plaid strip. Golfer Duff was colored with markers and given a little out of the box treatment.
Supplies:
stamps: Golfer Duff, Golf, Woven Plaid
paper: white, moss
ink: VersaFine onyx, Colorbox Pumpkin Patch Queue pigment inks
accessories: markers, brads

Get Well Soon!
>> Monday, August 15, 2011
I created this Get Well card using stamps from DRS Designs. I first stamped the Daffodil Frame image (104P) with Versamark ink and then heat embossed it using Black Sparkle Embossing powder. Next I used Watercolor EcoPencils by Faber-Castell to color in the image and then used my new Dove Blender pen to blend the colors. I adhered the image to white cardstock, cut it out, and matted it as shown.

Watermelon Treat
>> Friday, August 12, 2011
by Julie Warner - The Write Stuff
For my card, I stamped the tasty image twice, die cut one in an oval shape and colored the background. On the other, I colored the melon and cut it out to attach on the base image for a little dimension. A couple more layers were added and a big gingham bow (love the ribbon, but hate how easily it unravels). I put the sentiment on a die cut circle and attached it to a tag die cut before running the string through the bow. For the gingham button, I covered a plain button w/ double sided tape and wrapped it with some of the gingham ribbon. The finished card measures 5.5 x 4.25.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Stay cool and have a great weekend!
