Merry Christmas

>> Monday, October 31, 2011

Happy Halloween! I guess I should be posting a Halloween card, but.... I just love Christmas more than any other holiday. I love the traditions, decorations, parties, gift giving, friends and family time and most of all I love celebrating Jesus' birth.

Today I want to show you a card I made using two new stamps from DRS - Christmas Greetings Ornament (K844) and Icicles (862H). I really like the icicles border!

I used some old shimmery card stock from my stash and stamped the ornament in white stazon ink, then heat embossed it in white. The icicles are stamped on white card stock, cut out and then covered in white stickles for some sparkle. After they dried I attached them above the ornament. I added a layer of white card stock, embossed with a Cuttlebug snowflake folder to finish. This card is fairly simple to create. The most time consuming part was cutting out the icicles and then waiting for the stickles to dry! But I think the look was worth it.

Hope you are having a wonderful Monday. Enjoy those trick or treaters tonight!

until next time,
shelia
