Valentine's Day will be here before you know it, so now is the time to get started on your Valentine's Day cards.  DRS Designs just released some great Valentine stamps to help you "get in the mood."  The card I'm sharing with you today uses 3 of them, however, the Moonlight Cat Serenade image (605L) that I've used is not one of them.  Can you believe it's actually a Halloween image?!?!  With all that I've used around it to decorate and embellish this card, I've spiced it up to make it a very cute Valentine's Day card!  This was my entry for this past weeks Splitcoast Stampers Sketch Challenge, SC314.

Creating this card took a bit of planning and sketching before I actually could get started putting it together. First, I stamped the Moonlight Cat Serenade (605L) on white cardstock with black ink.  I then carefully cut it out leaving a slight white border around the cats since I was going to mat it with black cardstock.  I paper pieced the fence after stamping it on red cardstock.  I created my own designer paper for the vertical panel by stamping the new Woven Plaid (613P) background stamp in both the horizontal and vertical directions to add a pattern element to the design.  Both sentiments are also new. The Love You To The Moon Greeting (580D) and the Small Valentine's Day Greeting (603C) are 3-lined sentiments where one line is directly below the other, but I've cut them up to stamp them easier to accomodate this layout.

The final conclusion for this card is the same as the New Years Card I made a few weeks ago-- Make sure to always think outside the box when looking for the right stamp for your project.  Who would have thought a Halloween stamp would make such a great Valentine's Day card!
 Hope you enjoyed seeing it!

Thanks for stopping by and stay tuned for more fun stuff coming soon!

Smiles,
Jennifer
