Say It Back to Them on Father's Day!

>> Friday, May 7, 2010

How many times have you heard your Dad or Grandpa start a story with a line similar to this new Father's Day greeting from DRS Designs?
With this sentiment you now have a chance to say it back to them and wish them a Happy Father's Day!

The image portion of this card was created by using Alcohol Inks on glossy cardstock--blue and silver for the sky, and green and gold for the ground.  I stamped the Silhouette Hiker image (G1026) using Staz On ink.  Once I had the layout arranged and I held this card back, I realized how silly it was to have picked this image to go with this sentiment.  It fits with the words "walk" and "uphill," but not so much with the snow part.  I think the Boot Prints in the Snow (M150) image from DRS Designs would have been much more fitting.  Yet, that could be a bit silly too, since Father's Day is in warm and sunny June! I guess you could make it to fit your Dad or Grandpa and what he likes better. However, in this case, it was too late.  The whole thing was already assembled and adhered into place.  I added just a touch of Stickles to the ground to glisten it up a bit.  So, now this hiker is walking in the cold frost to wish his Dad a Happy Father's Day! LOL!

Make sure to check out all of the New Releases just in time for both Mother's and Father's Day and even Graduation!
Happy Friday to you all!  Hope you have a great weekend!

I'd walk 10 miles to tell you what a great card this is!!! I love it all - the colors, the sketch, and I think the hiker goes great since Father's Day is in June (although I did use the bootprints in the snow myself :)

This is terrific, Jennifer! My first thought when I saw the greeting was the image you used. I think they go together perfectly. Great job!
