I can't help but smile when I see ladybugs.
They seem like such happy little creatures. A couple of times a year, we have tons of ladybugs in the yard. A few always manage to get in, but I try to catch them and take them back outside. Our ladybugs usually aren't this bright red, they're more of a red-orange color, but for this card I made them bright red. There must be 50 ladybugs on this card. It seemed more like a hundred when I was coloring them all. I started by masking off a diagonal line and stamping the ladybug background (H799) across the lower section and sponging some lt blue ink on the top section. They're all colored w/ markers and a blender. I masked all the ladybugs (yes, big groan!) and sponged on some lt green ink. The ladybug flower (G953) and greeting (G576) were stamped on another piece of white c/s, colored and the flower was cut out. The greeting was cut with a Spellbinders petite oval and backed w/ a petite scallop oval.
On the lower edge of the 5.5 x 4.25 (A2) white card, I stamped the ladybug border (P811), colored it then trimmed around the bottom edge. I also stamped some of the border on a scrap, colored a few bugs and leaves, cut them out and attached them along the diagonal line of the card front.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
