Irish Luck!

>> Thursday, February 25, 2010

by Julie Warner - The Write Stuff

Do you feel lucky? If you had this pot of gold and all these shamrocks, I bet you would!

I stamped the main image (Everything Irish) twice and colored it using a combination of markers overlaid with Prismacolor pencils. I colored the hat only on the second one and popped it up slightly on top of the original. The triple teardrop giga circle was stamped around the base image and then it was cut out using a Spellbinders circle Nestie. I took the leftover frame and sponged it w/ yellow and yellow/orange inks then put the image circle back inside after elevating it slightly.

The emerald green layer was stamped with the shamrock background and emerald green ink. I stamped a few extra shamrocks, cut them out and attached them on the yellow frame. The greeting was cut out using a Nestie tag and color was added to the greeting and edges with markers.

Thanks so much for stopping by! May the luck of the Irish be with you!
