Silent Night

Happy Wednesday to you all! This time of year is a great time to get a start on Christmas cards. Every year I say I'm going to start earlier. I just love these trees and the filigree snowflakes. To me navy and white are such peaceful colors and they just seem to feel like a silent night.

Y'all may know, DRS is also sponsoring the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenges for the month of September. I used the MMSC #19 for my sketch, although I turned it on its side.

The Triple Tree w/ Snow (L004) was white embossed onto navy cardstock and cut it with and oval Spellbinders die. I cut a larger oval out of white and lightly sponged the edge with indigo ink. I used the indigo ink to stamp the Medium Filigree Snowflake (H1123) in a pattern over the white background layer. Following the sketch, I added a navy layer on the bottom and little white dots punched out with a hole punch.

The Silent Night greeting (D484) was split on two lines with the help of a stamp positioner and punched out with an oval punch. The snowflakes were done with a Cuttlebug die and attached.

This is such a wonderful sketch to work with and I hope y'all will try it out and join in on the challenge. And the triple tree image is fantastic! I know you'll love it!
