Birthday Flowers
>> Monday, July 7, 2014
Hi everyone, Shelia here with a sparkly birthday card. I have had a bottle of SU Diamond Dust for years and rarely use it. Mostly because I end up with glitter everywhere - even in the cup of coffee I am drinking while creating! But I saw something on line that inspired me to get the glitter out and here's the result.
I started with a white panel that was stamped with our Woven Plaid Background stamp in VersaColor Lavender ink. The medium daisies were stamped with Memento Black ink directly onto the plaid background. I colored the daisies with Copics and then applied glue with a Sakura Quickie Glue Pen and then added the Diamond Dust. After the glitter and glue dried, the sentiment was added with Memento Black ink. A sheer white ribbon was added after attaching the panel to some black CS. This was a quick and easy card to do, except for the hassle of having glitter everywhere. But I do like all the sparkle!
This week's challenge at DRS Designs is Hot Trends. We want to see cards with banners, pennants or flags! You can see details here. We'd love to have you play along. you could be the winner of some gorgeous stamps from DRS Designs!
Thanks for stopping by today.
Until next time,
shelia
