Wee Bit Irish
>> Tuesday, March 5, 2024
Inspired by Nancy's whimsical card last week, I decided to do the same, and use the Wee Bit Irish Greeting to make a card in that theme.

Hi Everyone,
Have you finished making your Valentine's Day cards? If not, here's a bit of hearts and flowers inspiration for you today!
I paired up the Flower Hearts (SUCH a C-U-T-E stamp!) with the sweet new Love and Blessings Valentine's Day Greeting. The image was stamped, colored and die cut, with a bit of glitter glue added to the hearts. It is a valentine after all :)
I made the background using the Candy Heart Background along with and embossed background of the same type, covering up the seam with some gems. (Boy do I have a lot of them in my stash!)
For more Valentine stamps, be sure to pop on over to the DRS Designs store!
Have a happy day,
Karin
Hi Everyone,
Today's super simple card is for when you're flat out of time and need to make something quick. Which is me. All the time during the holidays!
I stamped some of the Simple Pine Trees for the background and added a couple of die cut deer. I made the new Hello Winter Greeting into a banner and attached it to the top, along with a few tiny snowflakes.
Hi Everyone,
While I know Thanksgiving is this week, I couldn't resist showing off a couple of the new stamps soon to be released here at DRS Designs.
I stamped and colored up the new Berries and Bow Christmas Decoration (9275F), die cutting it and turning it into a tag by punching a hole in the top and adding a ribbon. I then layered it onto an embossed holly background and added the new Small Script Merry Christmas (272E) Greeting.
To finish it off, I added some punched holly leaves and red gems as berries, and also added some glitter glue to the image berries as well. It's the holidays, there is no such thing as too much glitter this time of year!
Be sure to stop back and see all of the new holiday and winter stamps!
Happy Holidays!
Karin
Hi Everyone,
Sadly, the trees where I live are now all bare, but I'm trying to keep all the vibrant fall colors alive by using them on my cards.
Here is the fourth and final card using some background paper that I made. You can click here to see how I made it out of one 8 1/2"x 11" piece of card stock. The stamps I used are:
The sentiment stamp named Season of Thanks Oval, was heat embossed using a glittery powder and colored using regular, non-alcohol based markers.
This card features the new Gather Hope Thanksgiving Greeting, that was embellished with a couple of little pumpkins to match my embossed background.
The pumpkins are from the 4 in 1 Harvest Designs.
For more fall goodness, I stamped a border of the Open Leaf and colored them up to match!
Thanks for popping in!

Hi Everyone,
When it comes to cardmaking, September is a heavy birthday month for me. It would be great if I planned ahead, but since my good intentions usually fail, my cards tend toward a simple design.
I stamped the Wordy Birthday Greeting in black, orange and red ink, adding some yellow sponging around the die cut. I attached the sentiment at an angle to an embossed cupcake background and added the fussy cut Birthday Party Pig.
To finish it off, I added a few punched stars for a confetti like embellishment :)
Thanks for stopping by!
Karin
Hi Everyone,
Herre is the last of my birthday cards for my March birthday friends. I decided to use the Fuzzy Chick for a spring themed card.
I added the hat from the Birthday Party Pig, used a flower brad for the puff on top and created the background with a few stamps:
