Hi Everyone, 

I've moved on to the popular March holiday St. Patrick's Day with my card share today.  

I used the new Nip of Irish Cheer Greeting as the focal point and attached it to an embossed background and some patterned paper made using green and orange ink, along with the following stamps:

Small Shamrock Group

For embellishments, I stamped and fussy cut a clover and some cheer, which I colored green to match the holiday!  Those stamps can be found below:

Coffee Birthday

 

I love this MR. EARL'S HAPPY BIRTHDAY - 101H and thought I could make a birthday card for my coffee loving friends with it.

For my card:

• I stamped the MR. EARL'S HAPPY BIRTHDAY - 101H and stamped the lid for PAPER COFFEE CUP - 502K.
  
• Next, I masked the lid and stamped the coffee cup for the PAPER COFFEE CUP - 502K.
• I then did a monochromatic coloring of the cup and the birthday sentiment using pinks and added a bit of grey on the cup for some shadow coloring.
• The card was finished with a few scattered pink pearls.

The MR. EARL'S HAPPY BIRTHDAY - 101H can be used with any image to create a card for anyone on your birthday list.

Better with Age

 Hi Everyone,

Today's card share is a Z Fold card.  It may go by other names, but that is what it was called when I learned how to make it.  It's simply a card folded in half, with the top panel folded in half, back to meet the first fold. I like it because it's easy!

This fold gives me the chance to make two matching papers and I did that by using a grape themed embossing folder and the Bunch of Grapes stamp.  For the outside I used the Better with Age Birthday Greeting and added a fussy cut wine glass from the Pour Me Bottle and Glass stamp.

Inside I stamped and die cut the Best Year Cheers Greeting and fussy cut a matching bunch of grapes.

This is the perfect card for my wine loving friend.

Red and White Christmas

 

Hi Everyone,

Since I love a red wine and I love a white wine, I feel like this stamp was made for me!   I just don't love a sweet wine, the more tannin the better say I.  That's probably why my palate prefers tea without sweetener too. Enough about my beverage preferences and on to the card!

I kept the card monochromatic in keeping with the sentiment and used snowflakes on the background for that reason too.  Who can sing White Christmas without imaging flakes in the air?

Mistletoe and Holly

Hi Everyone,

I'm loving the new wine themed holiday stamps from DRS Designs.  They're perfect if you have any oenophiles in your life!

Here I made a piece of background paper using an embossing folder that I inked up and sent though my machine.  I then colored in the places that weren't embossed using some markers and a bit of ink sponging. 

I die cut the new Fine Wine Christmas Greeting and attached it to a large, die cut snowflake, finishing it off with a few fussy cut images of wine glasses and some holly.

I'll Drink the Red...

 

Some stamps come along, and I like them and add them to my stash. Some stamps come along, and I have to have them. This sentiment is fantastic for my collection. I just had to create a card with it. I know it says a lot about me, but I do love wine.

For my card:

• I die cut the two champaign glasses in white then die cut the alcohol out of glitter paper and layered them on the glasses. I added a bit of blue to the rims and down the sides of the glasses.
• Next, I stamped the new Dreaming of a White Christmas sentiment on white card stock stamped in red. (This should be in the store very soon.)
• I layered on sentiment banner on black and layered that on a textured light blue.
• The card was finished with some punched red stars using the same red that was used on the glass.

Pumpkin Spice

Hi Everyone, 

With today's card share, I'm celebrating that favorite fall flavor of pumpkin spice!  

I began by stamping the Paper Coffee Cup a few times and fussy cutting everything to create the lid and sleeve.  The cup itself was stamped using the pumpkins from the 4 in 1 Harvest Designs and then I wrapped it with a bit of raffia.

The Pumpkin Spice Everything Nice Greeting was die cut and layered (along with the cup) onto a background that was wrapped with lace and stamped with the Pumpkin Pile.

Mini Cards

 

Hi Everyone,

January always gets me in the mood to organize.  During that initial rush of digging through craft supplies, I came across some tiny, 3" envelopes.  So, instead of making A2 sized simple cards, I made them mini, gift enclosure sized cards.

For the card on the left, I cut the card base maybe 1/16th smaller, so that it would fit in the envelope and embossed the background with hearts. I stamped the Cocoa and Marshmallows, fussy cut it and attached to to the background.  I decorated it using the Small Silhouette Heart and I used a portion of the Cheap Chocolate Eve Greeting on the front as well.

The Paper Coffee Cup was stamped along the fold of my card stock, and then fussy cut.  I stamped it couple of more times onto pink and fuchsia paper that I fussy cut and embellished using the Splatter and Vicki's Versatile Background stamps. I finished that using a fussy cut Candy Heart along with the lid. 

Inside there was just enough room for a sentiment and wee bit of room to sign something personal.

Have a "Brew"tiful Day!

 

• I love a great cup of coffee and stamps with coffee themed images and sentiment are perfect for my collection and my coffee loving friends and family. This PAPER COFFEE CUP - 502K was stamped and colored with copics. I stamped the lid first then masked it to stamp the coffee cup attached. I then die cut the panels and layered.
• The 'BREW'TIFUL DAY GREETING - 782D was heat embossed on black using white emboss powder and then popped up on dimensionals. 
• I finished off the card with sequins from my stash.

I have a second card for you this week.

• I used the HEARTBEAT - 1055D to create an all over background for the card base for the card.
• Next, I used a heart emboss folder and created the banner.
• I then stamped the BOO BOO BEAR - 431G and I used a portion of the CURED YET? GREETING - 1015E to create the image focal.
• The Boo Boo Bear is colored with copics and popped up on dimensionals.
• The card was finished off with a few punched hearts.

Candy

Hi Everyone,

I'm featuring the new Cheap Chocolate Eve Greeting on my Valentine card in today's post.  I love any kind of chocolate, so I decided to make some bon bons to match up with it.   

I used a 1 1/4" circle punch and then sliced off the bottom portion to form the little truffle, and I did the same to the sentiment.  The cream colored white ones I dry embossed and the brown chocolate colored ones I left plain. I added a punched flower and little hearts to top them off.  The hearts were fussy cut from the Candy Heart Background. 

All the pieces were attached to the pink background that I stamped using the Chocolate Chip Background and pink ink.  To finish it, I added a strip of lace to fancy it up!

This is just a quick birthday card I made for my sister in law's 60th birthday.  Unfortunately any large celebration had to be scrapped due to Covid, but my niece planned an intimate wine tasting dinner for her, and the extended family and friends sent in videos.  Of course I realized I forgot to take a picture of it until I was getting ready to send it, so ignore the weird background...lol.

 Hi Everyone,

Since were staring 2022 right in the face, I'm celebrating the new year with this great new card sentiment, Best Year Cheers Greeting!  I love the fresh hope a new year brings. Whether you celebrate with adult beverages or sparkling water, whether you say cheers, prost, or salud, like the greeting says, Let's make the coming year the best!

For the first card I tried to go retro, using a martini embossing folder and some avocado colored flock along the side.  

Here I chose an embossing folder that has clocks, to play off of the idea of the countdown that happens on New Year's Eve. I added a fussy cut glass from the Pour Me Bottle and Glass stamp, and a recycled embellishment from a Christmas card I received.  (Both embossing folders are by Darice)

Cheers to 2022 and as much stamping as your heart desires!

Holiday Sweater

 Hi Everyone,

DRS Designs has released lots of great holiday stamps this past weekend.  If you are behind in your holiday stamping,  (Me, me! I'm raising my hand along with you...) the stamps on my first card are sure to jump start your mojo. 

This one features Ugly Christmas Sweater Designer.  It's a group of stamps that includes a sweater, some stitching lines along with 3 tiny images for the sweater!  I mean, it was the first thing I wanted to ink up when I opened my new stamps, because it looked like so much fun.  I'm not sure what this says about me, but I would wear this blue and red candy cane sweater unironically.  It's sooo cute!  Anyway, you can make yours any color and set comes with a string of lights and a gingerbread man too.

Also available is a matching Ugly Christmas Sweater Greeting, which was a must have to go with all the sweaters I'll be making.

Everything was layered onto a background made by sponging over a die cut snowflake, along with a snowflake border made using Interlocking Snow Background stamp.

A couple of punched snowflakes embellished with gems finished it off.

This card was a quick masculine birthday card I made for a friend.  No frills,  just some good old stamping, some Stickles to enhance the beer foam, and a few metal brads :)

Celebrating Autumn and Birthdays

Hi Everyone,

Even though it's so warm outside and doesn't feel like October here, I'm celebrating fall with my card share today.

I have a love of hot drinks, so I made a fall themed coffee cup that I paired with a cheerful greeting.

The cup and die cut embellishments were layered onto a woven, scarf themed background.

Drink in Your Hand

 

Hi Everyone,

Since we're in the thick of summertime, I used the new Toes in the Sand Birthday Greeting for today's card. Even though it has a beach vibe, I decided to focus on the "drink in your hand" portion of it.

I masked off the globe from the Fairy with a Globe stamp, and paired it up with the Wine Glass image from the Pour Me Bottle and Glass stamp, and also sat her on a Toadstool as well. I colored it up and added some glitter glue to her wings.

The background was dry embossed and attached a punched border that was stamped using the Easy Dot Background.  I finished off the card with some flowers and enamel dots.

Easy Summer Cards

 Hi Everyone,

Last week I went on a getaway with my husband to an inn, down in the heart of Amish country in Ohio.  It was our first time away since, what I call, "the before times".  While it wasn't completely normal due to them being short staffed, and my husband working from his lap top, it was still a pleasant escape from suburban life.   I was scrambling a bit before we left home, so I made these two quick cards with a summer theme.

I masked off this vertical strip and sponged lol on various greens and yellow ink to achieve this color. Before removing the masking, I stamped the Citrus Slice all along the colored portion, and then added the It's Five O'clock Somewhere Greeting adding a few gems for embellishment.

It was so quick and easy I made a second card using the same technique, just different stamps and enamel dots.

While I wasn't at the beach, here's a peek at the lovely scenery where we stayed...

That's me outside the entrance.  These rooms are called the "honeycombs" and they're built into the side of a hill.  They all have stone patios with bird feeders outside and you can even hear the baaaah of the sheep in the distance.  Not a big deal to some, but slightly magical to this suburban/city gal :)

Summertime

Hi Everyone,

It's officially summer and in my opinion, margaritas are the ultimate adult summer beverage. The lime, the icy bits...the SALT! They're even good minus the tequila.  Just add some simple syrup, a fresh squeezed orange to the lime juice, (and a splash of fizzy water for some pizazz) and you're in business. Mmmmmm...I think I should have titled the post Taco Tuesday, because I think I know what's for dinner now!

For this first card I inked up a citrus embossing folder to create the background, and stamped colored and fussy cut the Margarita Glass, adding some glitter glue to the rim for the salt.  I heat embossed the Citrus Slice and attached everything along with the Toes in the Sand Birthday Greeting.

Here is another graduation card I made, because, tis the season!  I copied the layout from my last graduation card here, I just changed up the school colors and added the bee, since that's the school mascot.

 Hello crafty friends!

Don't you love when you have a crafting buddy?  My Grandson, Lewis, dropped in for some card-making fun, and we made several fun cards for him to give to his Mom plus this one for me.  I just know he is going to be a great artist because at 5 years old, he is already good with color, scissors, and ideas.  

He picked THIS fun card made by Tanya Atkisson to case and he picked out the images too.  This is what we came up with together:

He stamped the Paper Coffee Cup,  then the Interlocking Snow Background.  I cut out the cup and the heart and did a little watercoloring.  Then I used the same colors on the background with a quick wash and a bit of spatter.  I rubbed a little bit of the watercolor on the bottom of my coffee cup and stamped it down a few times too (Lewis loved that idea).  Then we stamped the Peeking Gnomes, colored them up and fussy cut them.  They were colored with watercolors as well.  

To finish it off, we stamped the new Tiny Gnome for the Holidays Greeting and punched it out with an old SU! Label Punch.  

Lewis loves coffee (milk with a shot of coffee and sugar for him) and he was totally thrilled with this card (me too).

The beauty of Autumn...

 Happy Monday! Trust you had a great weekend! I have another slim line card to share with you today. I saw something on Pinterest (I think) and was inspired to create this coffee cup card. I also recently found Pumpkin Spice Almond Milk Creamer!! So I'm enjoying my coffee even more than usual.

I stamped the coffee cup with Memento Black ink onto various shades of oranges, green and yellow CS, fussy cut and sponged some DO ink along the edges. I also stamped the cup again onto cream CS along with the lids. These too were sponged with DO inks and then glued together. I had some watercolor paper that had been colored with DO inks in fall colors. The leaves were die cut from that paper and glued onto the cups. The beauty of Autumn greeting was stamped onto the same cream CS, die cut and sponged with the same DO ink, Everything was added to the cream CS, then the orange layer and the cream CS.

This card makes me happy and now I want to invite some friends to go out for coffee. But with this pandemic still happening, I'll have to wait a bit longer. Hope you are all staying safe and healthy!

In the Spirit

Hi Everyone,

I thought I would do a punny take on the new In the Spirit of Halloween Greeting, and match it up with an embossed martini glass background.  I needed someone to drink that martini, so I stamped,  heat embossed and fussy cut the Mummy.  And I figured he would have been having that drink at a party, so I gave him a witches hat for a costume. (The hat was fussy cut from the Broomstick Stella Witch stamp.)  I simply finished the front by adding a couple of die cut bats.

I embossed a white panel again, and the added the Drink Up Witches for the inside sentiment.

Trick Coffee

  Happy Friday!

I hope your week has gone well! I don't know about you, but w/ nowhere to go, no new TV shows or movies, we're getting a little desperate here. We've pulled out the stash of DVD's we haven't seen in years. We just pick the ones that have a multitude of sequels & watch all of them. Not in one night..but however many nights it takes. We're currently on The Empire Strikes Back. That should clue you in on how far we've gone back.

I'll bet the guy who ordered this grande half-caf no foam latte at the coffee shop was pretty surprised when this ghost popped out. Trick or treat! Or maybe the ghost wanted the French Vanilla. Anyway, thank goodness for the Misti. I would have had a terrible time trying to mask this w/o it. I had to stamp most of the cup, masking off the outer rim, stamp the ghost, mask him, then stamp the back rim. For the lid, I just fussy cut it & added it afterwards.  The edges were sponged w/ the Distress inks then splattered. On the bg, I stamped the circles bg w/ shaded lilac then colored them in w/ Copics. Afterward, I went back in w/ a white Posca paint pen & added the white dots.
