Birthday

 Hello there crafty friends!

Today I'm sharing 2 birthday cards, 1 masculine and 1 feminine.  This first card uses a lot a pinky colors and a sport that both men and women like to participate in, bowling.

I used DRS: Ball On Your Birthday, Strike, 3 in 1 Design and Bowling Strike

Of course, all the coloring is done in the pinks. I used various dies I have from different companies, pop dots and ribbon to finish my card.

My next card features sports that a lot of boys like to play all through school (and beyond).

I used DRS: Four Corner Sports (which is a 4 in 1 design) and Ball On Your Birthday again.

I popped up the sentiment and single ball glove, I also used corrugated stock on this card.

My grandson played baseball and soccer through school, he loves both, so this card would be perfect for him.

Wherever You Go

Hi Everyone,

I realized I was super low on birthday cards in my stash, so I quickly had to throw one together for a boy. 

 I chose a candle embossing folder with big candles and stamped the beginning part of the Wherever You Go Birthday Greeting that was die cut and embellished with some green ink. 

  To make the card personal to the recipient, I attached the baseball glove image that was stamped using the Four Corner Sports stamp, and made sure I used the team colors for the card as well.

To finish it off, I simply added some glitter glue to the candle flames.

Racking up another birthday....

 

Have I mentioned I will never tire of this POOL CUE, BALL & RACK - 469K? It is really one of my all time favorites and is perfect for so many in my family.

 

This week I used the POOL CUE, BALL & RACK - 469K stamped on white card stock and colored with copics. I added the RACKING UP BIRTHDAY GREETING - 498D and cut the panel down with a stitched die cut and popped it up on dimensionals.

 

I then cut the green card stock and punched some circles out of it to look like a billiard table. The base is the WOOD GRAIN BACKGROUND - 626P on a tan card stock and rounded those corners.

A Friendly Note and Father’s Day

Hi Everyone,

I have a couple of cards to share today, one for a friend and one for the dads.

I chose the Happy Mail image to pair up with the new Friendly Note Greeting, because the flower is cute and friendly!  The image comes with the words thinking of you on it, so I just masked them off, inked up the stamp and then removed the tape before stamping it, so that only the image remained. 

The card base and the yellow layer were stamped using the Puff Circle, and the orange layer was dry embossed.  My die cut grass was stamped using the Easy Grass Background and it was attached at the end of assembly along with the greeting.

This one is for all the golfing dads out there, and that includes mine!  

The background was made using an embossing folder and the Everything Golf Background.  I covered up the seam between the two papers with a strip of black cardstock and embellished it with a couple of metal brads.  I used the Especially Fore You Greeting and attached it to the card base.  For the image, I stamped and heat embossed the Silhouette Male Golfer, and used some post it notes to mask off the background, as I added ink to create the grass and sunrise.

Fore You

Happy Friday!

I hope your week has gone well! We've had warm days & a few afternoon rain storms here. The cicada invasion I think is winding down. Gosh..talk about loud! Apparently only 3 counties in N. Georgia had the invasion & my county seems to be the epicenter. 

My card today features a wonderful golf bag w/ a split bg of golf words & plaid. The golf bag & greeting were stamped, colored & die cut. I had a dk forest green panel already cut so I used it behind the golf bag. The golf words were stamped w/ Kaleidacolor pad called fresh greens. The plaid bg was made using the same Kpad. I sponged on some of the lighter greens then stamped the plaid on top.

Billiard Birthday

 

I will never tire of this image. It can be many colors and used in so many ways for friends and family that love playing pool.

Stamped the POOL CUE, BALL & RACK - 469K on white, then colored with copics and cut down to size for the quick focal on the card.

The base layer is felt....I wanted green but I know for a fact that billiard tables are so many colors :) so I used the felt I had on hand. I then stamped the RACKING UP BIRTHDAY GREETING - and also added one ball from the BILLIARD BALLS - 533G. The sentiment strip was popped up with dimensionals.

Birthday Rack Up

Happy Friday!

I hope your week has gone well! Our temps really warmed up this week & the noise from the cicadas in the woods is almost deafening! On the good side, I haven't had to fill up the bird feeders because all the birds & squirrels are busy try to grab the cicadas & have a snack. 

My card today is another using the billiard balls. I stamped them & colored them, then colored in the bg around them so it looks like your viewing a pool table from overhead. That took awhile..I probably won't be doing that again, lol. I had a sort of leftover blue shape w/ the center cut out & used it as a frame. The greeting was stamped on the white frame & I added a question mark from another greeting.

Fish and Aim High

DRS Designs is home of Leonard the Pig.  There are some awesome designs with Leonard but today I am using Leonard Pig's Dance of Joy and he is going fishing and also aiming high.  Both cards are CAS and were done super quickly.

On this first card, I did a quick water color wash and then splattered on the left over paint.  Then I stamped the Fishing Pole on the base.  Next, I stamped Leonard and the new Best Fishes Hook.  I water-colored them, did some fussy cutting, and popped them up.  

On my second card, I took an orange stamp pad and a blue stamp pad and made a loose checkered background.  Then I popped up a very dirty Leonard (a bit too much Vintage Photo Ink) I had left over from another card, and added in the eight ball from the new Billiard Balls.   I cut up the Billiards Birthday Greeting as well (the rest of it is in the inside). 

It was fun and easy to make these cards.

Chalk It Up

Happy Friday!

I hope your week has gone well! Father's Day is just around the corner & so are a lot of birthdays. The new DRS images are perfect for masculine cards. It's sometimes hard to come up w/ a guy card that isn't golf or fishing, so here's one for the dad who likes to play pool (like hubs). I made one card where I colored in the billiard balls (coming later), but it was a little hard for me since they're so small, so I figured out a way to use them that didn't require coloring.

Another card I made had a split black/white bg so I used the other halves for my bg here. On the black bg, I stamped the image w/ Distress picket fence & on the white version, just Memento ink. the central image was stamped on white & I colored it in very lightly & added a green layer behind it. The partial greeting was white embossed on a narrow black strip.

I put the rest of the greeting on the inside & added a narrow green frame & a cut out billiard ball. Below it are the Copics I used.
