Happy Retirement

 When I think of retirement I think of getting a cabin in the woods. This CHRISTMAS VILLAGE CABIN - 212G is perfect for this sentiment.

Rather than coloring the cabin in winter snow colors I changed it to spring bright cheery colors.

I colored the image with copics and stamped the BRUSH HAPPY RETIREMENT GREETING - 186G.

I cut the panel down with a wonky border die cut and layered it on a Kraft card base that was stamped with the WOOD GRAIN BACKGROUND - 626P

Easter Greetings

Hi Everyone,

The Easter time crunch is upon me.  I've been hard at work hunting new side dish recipes, ironing my table cloths and napkins, and making place cards and favors for my table. It's left me scrambling in the card making department, so I chose not to over think my designs. For me, keeping things simple means keeping things from being ugly...I'm speaking purely for myself.  When I'm desperate and feeling bereft of creativity, that's when things go horribly wrong.  So I stuck with my tried and true layout. 

One of the newest sentiment stamps was just released here at DRS Designs, Deco Easter Greetings.  It's a classic design, so I die cut that and paired it up with a bunny die cut that I embellished with some white ink. For ease, I dry embossed a portion of my background, adding some flowers from the Four Flower Background, that matched the above flowers. I colored those in using my Copic markers and added some lace.

I once again used and embossed background for my second card but this time I stamped the Lily Cross Easter Blessings greeting onto a photo frame.  I colored that up and stamped, fussy cut and colored the Big Bunny Face which I attached inside.

Before attaching the frame to the card, I added a strip of green that was stamped using the Jelly Bean Jumble Background.

Happy Hallowe'en!

Good morning friends and happy Wednesday --also know as hump day - the middle of the week - getting closer to the weekend yay!

It's Bonnie and today I have another couple of images from our new Hallowe'en stamps that you are going to L-O-V-E!

I used the Broomstick Stella Witch and the Just Witching You Hallowe'en Greeting to make a case card! I just stamped Stella and then coloured her with my copic markers, making a small trail of C-1 behind her to give the illusion of wind.

The greeting was stamped in the corner so as not to interfere with lovely Stella and as an added touch, the wonderful Zva Creative black flourish - I cut these flourishes up to my hearts content and then place the swirls where I want - makes for a money saving tip!

Sympathy Bridge

Good Wednesday Morning! It's Bonnie here and it's half way through the week and then the weekend YAY! It really  hasn't been a grueling week for me, but I loves me my weekends!

I am always on the lookout for new sympathy stamps, so when the opportunity arose, I made sure I scooped up some appropriate images and sentiments for such needed moments.

For this card I used the with Sympathy sentiment with the Cattail Bridge and then wrapped some twine around the edge for small embellishment.

I thought it would be nice to take the picture outside, but I see now there are some  shadows that make it hard to see......sorry about that! Lesson learned.

Faith

Good day! Bonnie here with a card I thought turned out rather nicely! (sometimes that doesn't happen lol!)

I think this sentiment, called Faith Greeting, can be used for an uplifting card to be sent to someone needing a bit of a hug!

I also used the Background Stamp called, Four Flower Background, for my flowers. There are four stamps included with this set, so I cut them up and used them individually under the sentiment!

Yesterday's prize is this great stamp called Gold Icon (H973). I have paired this wonderful image with the Above Par Birthday greeting.



To make this card, I stamped the Golf Icon image using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink onto white card stock and colored it using Copic Markers. I cut out the image and layered it onto a Labels 12 Nestabilities. The Above Par greeting was stamped using black in onto the white background. I added a couple of brads in the corner just to add that extra something. This is another quick and easy card that will really impress that golfing enthusiast in your life!

My card is a quick and easy card that I think looks elegant and classy. I started my card using some blue cardstock for the base. The white background layer was stamped using blue Ink and the Easy Dot Background (H628). The Happy Moments Happy Days greeting was stamped using blue ink onto some white cardstock and cut/embossed using a Classic Circle Nestabilities. I matted the sentiment onto a Scalloped Circle Nestabilities and added the rhinestone stickers to give some added bling! With the addition of the ribbon and some more rhinestones in the corner, this quick card was finished. I love when cards come together so quick and easily.

A Quick, Fun Card Featuring a NEW RELEASE!

I saw this sentiment and I KNEW that I HAD to have it. I had the idea to use arrows as soon as I saw it.

So, today while strolling the aisles of the big box craft store... what do I find??? And on CLEARENCE, no less??? ARROW STICKERS!!! How totally perfect! I layered all of the matching cardstock in 1/4 in increments and then on the white panel, I stamped the sentiment and then I added the epoxy stickers.Quick, easy and sure to brighten someone's day during a challenging time! COOL BEANS INDEED!

Kinda feel like I am dating myself if I say that I used to say that all the time in the 80's! Anyway, this super cute saying and easy background stamp are part of the new release from DRS! I made this card using copic markers to color the jelly beans in and then the double layered matt paper. SO EASY and SO CUTE!!! Valentine... You LIGHT Up My Life!!!

OK... So I was in the big box craft store and I noticed in the $1 section this darling lantern.I thought about all of the teacher gifties that I need to make for my daughters teachers for Valentine's Day and decided to dress it up. Let me tell you... it got a WHOLE lot cuter with the addition of this awesome DRS DESIGNS easy background stamp. And the best part??? This took like 20 minutes START TO FINISH to make!!! Here is what I did...

I stamped and embossed the heart background stamp on the vellum card stock and used light pink embossing powder. White would be pretty too. Then I cut the vellum to size and added it OVER the glass panels that were already in this little lantern. Then I used Scor-tape around the top and the bottom to add the ribbon. I got out my super handy BOW EASY gadget and tied this perfect multi-loop bow and adhered it with a glue dot. I tied all kinds of ribbon on the handle and I put a battery operated tea light in the bottom of the lantern. (safety first!) and here is my project. Super quick and EASY and a great way to let someone know that they light up YOUR life! Thanks for stopping by...

Happy Valentines Day DRS Style!

I LOVE this Valentine's Day Heart stamp from DRS. It is so simple and elegant and FUN to color all the little flowers!
This was an easy and simple card to make and I LOVE LOVE LOVE the layout! I used a sketch from SCS... they help me get "unstuck"and Lord knows... DRS always has a stamp that will work PERFECTLY with any sketch! This was the stamp that I chose... I colored the flowers with all different shades of pink Copic markers and then I put yellow stickles in the flower centers... (love my bling!) Next, I tied the ribbon around the front of the card and finished the sketch with the triangles of pink and black. Simple... but so pretty! And I think this card only took about 15 minutes to make... Quick and easy??? I LOVE IT!!!

For this card, I stamped this big XO and colored it with

copic markers. I added white gel pen for the highlights.I

stamped the heart background on white paper and used it for the background. The best part about DRS easy background stamps is

ALWAYS matching the ink, paper and ribbon that you are using in the rest of your card... EXACTLY. You never have to settle for "coming close" again! Then I layered the paper and added the ribbon and here is my card. I love the bright and fun colors and the polka dot ribbon is really FUN!!! There's still time!

Are you feeling guilty that you didn't get your Christmas Cards made??? Don't fret, you can still do them! Just keep them plain and simple (hint: not a lot of layers or coloring!)

I've been running around like a crazy person this week and my stamping has been on the run as well. However, my cards went so fast I was able to squeeze in a gift tag or two too.


You can see how simple my card and gift tag are. The only thing that I did different was to stamp off once while stamping the holly and berries on the gift tag. I'm really loving this Silhouette Holly this year. Anything that does the coloring for me is number 1 in my book! Once I added a couple of accents I was off and running to my next project and you can too!
