Happy Hallowe'en!

>> Sunday, October 17, 2010

How are your Hallowe'en plans coming along? Are you making treat holders or decorating bags for your treats? I know in the city it is difficult because you may have 200 goblins or more - but in the country where I live....we are lucky if we get 5 spooks a year.....

Well I don't have a treat holder for you today (although my introduction was a great segway for one......) but I do have another Hallowe'en card!

This uses the cutest of all the Hallowe'en stamps that are available, called Witchy Frog Brew.....I love this cute little smile and don't get me started on those eyes!!

I stamped the backgrounder, Spooky Eyes Backgrounder first and then added the rest of the card.....The little image is stamped with Memento Black ink and coloured with copics.

I made a lot of scalloped borders across the bottom......this card was headed toward a scalloped challenge but of course I didn't get it done in time.....booo me!!

>> Wednesday, October 13, 2010

Good morning Bloggers!!  Bonnie here and I am keeping on with these fabulous Hallowe'en stamps that DRS Designs have in their stamp arsenal.

I stamped both the sentiment - Spirit of Hallowe'en Greeting and image-Spooky Bat Tree, in Memento Tuxedo Black and then coloured them with copics - I LOVE how the sentiment also an be coloured - makes it spooky don't you think??

This is a super CAS card and so easily to mass produce - I decided it needed more however and added the gorgeous Zva Creative Flourish to finish it off!!

Hope you like!!

Happy Hallowe'en!

>> Wednesday, October 6, 2010

Good morning! It's Bonnie here, showing you more of our Hallowe'en stamps available NOW!! Aren't they just so adorably scary??!!

For this card I stamped my main image, Silhouette Haunted House, in Versamark, and then some embossing glitter over top. After it is heat set, it is so shiny and pretty - and of course, very spooky!

I did swipe my card front with the embossing buddy, but as per Murphy's Law, it didn't seem to matter on part of the card grrrr.....

Okay I am off to stamp!! Have a great day!

Happy Hallowe'en!

>> Wednesday, September 29, 2010

Good morning friends and happy Wednesday --also know as hump day - the middle of the week - getting closer to the weekend yay!

It's Bonnie and today I have another couple of images from our new Hallowe'en stamps that you are going to L-O-V-E!

I used the Broomstick Stella Witch and the Just Witching You Hallowe'en Greeting to make a case card! I just stamped Stella and then coloured her with my copic markers, making a small trail of C-1 behind her to give the illusion of wind.

The greeting was stamped in the corner so as not to interfere with lovely Stella and as an added touch, the wonderful Zva Creative black flourish - I cut these flourishes up to my hearts content and then place the swirls where I want - makes for a money saving tip!

Have a boo-tiful day!!

Boo! and a Card Patterns Sketch!

>> Saturday, September 25, 2010

Good morning! It's Bonnie here today to let you know that we are sponsoring Card Patterns all this coming week!!

You could win a $15 voucher for DRS Designs if you participate, and it is such a fun and easy sketch why wouldn't you?! I have an example for you using our new Hallowe'en stamps!

I used the new EEEEK Backgrounder (I giggle everytime I use that name!) and then stamped the Empty Spider Web in the corner of my oval and the Precious Pumpkin on the other side of the oval.

I stamped the Precious Pumpkin, one more time, coloured it and then cut it out. I popped it up onto the oval and then layered the oval onto my background that has my funky ribbon on it with big button and bow!!

For a finishing touch, I added some googly eyes to the spider web and the Precious Pumpkin!  Spooky eh?!!

I hope you will join us over at Card Patterns this week!

I used the Faith Greeting, which I use quite regularly - I love this sentiment and it is one I totally believe.....so that makes it special to me!

Sympathy Bridge

>> Wednesday, September 1, 2010

Good Wednesday Morning! It's Bonnie here and it's half way through the week and then the weekend YAY! It really  hasn't been a grueling week for me, but I loves me my weekends!

I am always on the lookout for new sympathy stamps, so when the opportunity arose, I made sure I scooped up some appropriate images and sentiments for such needed moments.

For this card I used the with Sympathy sentiment with the Cattail Bridge and then wrapped some twine around the edge for small embellishment.

I thought it would be nice to take the picture outside, but I see now there are some  shadows that make it hard to see......sorry about that! Lesson learned.

Jingle all the Way!

>> Sunday, August 22, 2010

Good Sunday morning to you! It's Bonnie again and I have another card to show you using the new Christmas releases!

I used the Jingle Bell Background stamped in VersaMagic - Red Magic - such a crisp clear image don't you think?

Next I stamped the Holly 3" Giga Oval in Brilliance Thyme and then the Jingle all the Way sentiment was stamped in the Red Magic in the center of the oval.

I stamped and coloured the Holly Background, cut out a few of the holly leaves and added them as embellishments.

I added some glittery paper for a border across the top and it was done! A pretty darn easy card even though I used four stamps!!

Have you got your Christmas cards started yet? Now's the time!

Jingle Bells!

>> Wednesday, August 18, 2010

Good day - it's Bonnie today and I am so excited to be able to preview our new stamps that will be released to you, our wonderful customers, on August 21st!!

AND, I hope you are participating in our Blog Hop Scavenger Hunt that began on August 17th and ends August 19th,  so you can get some wonderful ideas and win some Christmas stamps - it's never too soon to start those cards!!

How about some Christmas Bells??!

For my card today I stamped the soon-to-be released Christmas Music Background in Versamark and then clear embossed it for my background.

I stamped and coloured the "Bells and Bows" image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and copics. I then re-stamped the image onto Spellbinders gold craft foil with Black Staz-on ink, cut out the bells only and glued them onto the first image.

I cut it out with the Spellbinders Labels 4 die, popped it up onto the Christmas Music Background and then attached that to my white card base and voila - finished!

Thanks for coming around today!

Faith

>> Wednesday, August 4, 2010

Good day! Bonnie here with a card I thought turned out rather nicely! (sometimes that doesn't happen lol!)

I think this sentiment, called Faith Greeting, can be used for an uplifting card to be sent to someone needing a bit of a hug!

I also used the Background Stamp called, Four Flower Background, for my flowers. There are four stamps included with this set, so I cut them up and used them individually under the sentiment!

Hope you like it and thanks for coming to visit!

I have already used the sketch on these two cards here.....so this week I switched it up a bit since I wanted to colour up this image! I haven't had time to colour lately, since we have been harvesting  wheat, but FINALLY it is done.....so onto the colouring yay!

I used two of our new July releases for my card today - Pet Angel Group and Loss of Pet Sympathy Greeting.....We all know how attached we can get to our dogs and cats....and rats.....and reptiles, so it is always nice to know that othesr can empathize with you when you lose one of your little furry friends!

Using my glue pen, I added a bit of glitter on the halo's and then added some beautiful bling alongside the sentiment!

Thanks for coming around today!!

With Heartfelt Condolences

>> Sunday, July 11, 2010

Good Day and welcome to the blog! It's Bonnie posting today and I have used one of our new releases for the sentiment, called Heartfelt Condolences.

I actually cased a card I had seen in the publication “A Card a Day” on page 109….yes, I get mojo blockage and it seems to be hitting the last couple of weeks yikes!

I sometimes find that it helps to case a card so here I am begging forgiveness! lol!

DRS Designs

For the background I stamped the leaf image from Four Corner Butterfly repeatedly. I added a medium sized Prima flower that came with the green leaves and everything – Bonus!

After adding the button, it is done! yay! Now off to look for my mojo – I hope I didn’t vacuum it up!

She has won the
Gift Backgrounder

YAY!!!
(Don't forget to email us with your name and address: info@drsdesigns.com)

Hi everyone, it's Bonnie today, giving you a look at the stamp that was won!

I used the Gift Backgrounder, that is today's winning stamp, as my backgrounder and my focal point! I love backgrounders - versatile and fun!

I stamped the Gift background from corner to corner on my Summer Sunrise card base with Orange Zest ink, and then I stamped the background again onto white cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.

I coloured the little gifts with copics, making sure that the colours were bright enough to coordinate with the backgrounder!

I used one of my many punches (yes, I collect them lol!) to decorate the card and then stamped the sentiment, Wishing You, with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.
After tying some pretty red ribbon I was done!

A Big Congratulations to
Tammy (comment #13)

She has won the
Ribbon Scallop 2.5" Mega Oval stamp

YAY!!!
(Don't forget to email us with your name and address: info@drsdesigns.com)
Hi everyone, it's Bonnie today, giving you a look at the stamp that was won!

It is the Ribbon Scalloped Mega Oval that I stamped in Smokey Shadow ink on white cardstock and punched out with the Marvy scalloped oval punch - the pink punch!

And I was so happy to find out that the Happy Birthday stamp fit perfectly inside the Ribbon Scalloped Mega Oval.

I stamped my Soft Stone cardbase using Vicki's Versatile Background in Smokey Shadow ink. Then I ran some Basic Gray cardstock through the Happy Birthday Cuttlebug embossing folder and used pink Prism cardstock along the edges.

The Pink Scalloped oval was cut out with the larger scalloped punch and then I used the smallest hold on my Crop-a-dile to punch the holes around the edge.

I finished off my Happy Birthday card with a beautiful pink silk ribbon!

Would you like a chance to win a fabulous DRS Designs stamp!

I stamped the Hope Your Day Sparkles Greeting (today's winning stamps!!) onto white cardstock and jazzed it up with a Copic glitter pen! Of course the camera doesn't capture the sparkle, but it is so pretty! I then cut it out with the Spellbinders Labels Four die.

The background was stamped onto kraft cardstock, Interlocking Star Background, and embossed with white embossing powder to really make it pop!

A Bit of ribbon and some gems really bring out the bling!!
