Mothers Day Tea

 

For this delightful creation, I adorned the card base with charming pink POLKA DOT BACKGROUND - 688P.

Following that, I meticulously colored this darling VIOLET TEACUP - 1079H using copic markers and carefully fussy-cut it, elevating it with dimensionals for added depth.

To complete the ensemble, I stamped just the Mother's Day sentiment from YOU WERE RIGHT MOTHER'S DAY GREETING - 117G in matching pink, punched it out, and elevated it with dimensionals. A scattering of sparkling gems adds the perfect finishing touch.

Mom

Hi Everyone,

Now that I'm done with my Easter cardmaking, I thought I would move on to the next holiday for giving cards, Mother's Day!

To celebrate mom, I used the Flower Scroll stamp that was still on my stamping table from a previous card to create a pattern on my card base.  

The panel was created using both the Splatter Background, and the Easy Dot Background stamps, and I added a punched flower border to match the daisy theme.  A ribbon was added before attaching it to the base.  

One Medium Daisy Bloom was colored and die cut and the other was fussy cut and attached, and some glitter glue was added to the flower centers for some shine. 

Finally, I stamped and punched out the Happy Mother's Day using a scallop punch to once again match up with the flower theme.

Happy Mothers Day

 

Hello crafty friends. I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. I am sharing a Mother's Day card. I need to get on the ball and get several made as I send Mother's Day cards to my mom, mother-in-law, and all my sisters.

For today's card:

• I first started with stamping the DOGWOOD BRANCH - 1092H on acetate using my Misti. I wanted to mask off the branch to leave just the flowers.
• Once I knew where the flowers would stamp, I created a mask for the stem and placed it under the acetate to make sure I could still get all the flowers.
• Next, I removed the acetate and stamped on the white card stock.
• Once I had the flowers, I used a heart die cut as a stencil and a black marker to create the heart.
• I then stamped the HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY - 826C inside the heart.
• Once I had the imagery and sentiment, I colored the flowers with copics and finished them with a chunky Stickles glitter for the flower centers.
• The panel was layered on a coordinating pink layer.

Hydrangea Fun

Hello Crafty Friends.

I watched THIS lovely video by Kristy on how to paint a loose hydrangea.  I painted two of them and used some great DRS Design's sentiments to finish them off.

On this one, I used four colors and a little splatter of white. The greeting is the new Special Person Birthday Greeting. 

On this one, I used a lot of different colors and just the Happy Mother's Day line from the You Were Right Mother's Day Greeting (I used the rest of the sentiment inside). 

I have a lot of birthday's coming up in my family/friend group and Mother's Day is just around the corner so these will come in handy.

Mother’s Day

Hi Everyone,

Since the new You Were Right Mother's Day Greeting mentions forgoing flowers and teacups, I thought I would make the card using non floral stamps.

I used my favorite Splatter Background stamp and inked it up multiple times using yellow, pink, orange and green ink.  I then used those same colors to color up the stamped Small Stained-Glass image.  

To finish it off, I added a couple of rows of matching gems.

Mother's Day Card

 

I absolutely love this new YOU WERE RIGHT MOTHER'S DAY GREETING - 117G. It really is a wonderful sentiment for any mother.

For my card:

• I stamped the YOU WERE RIGHT MOTHER'S DAY GREETING - 117G
• Next, I masked the YOU WERE RIGHT MOTHER'S DAY GREETING - 117G then used the SINGLE ROSE - 774G and stamped the rose bud at the top of the sentiment and the stem at the bottom.
• Once the image was stamped I colored it with copics.

I really love the clean and simple feel to this card.

Happy Mother's Day

 Good morning crafty friends!

Today I'm sharing 2 Mother's Day cards.  First is using the Violet Teacup, Woven Plaid, and the new You Were Right (bottom part, the next card shows the whole stamp).

I used a new Pink Fresh background die and a stitched frame die from Lawn Fawn with tiny pearls to finish this card.

I used my mom's favorite color combo on both cards today.

The frames and teacup are popped up.

My next card features the Woven Plaid and the You Were Right  sentiment.

The plaid on both cards was embellished with green and purple glitter pens.

I used stitched rectangle dies to cut out the panels and finished with a purple glitter pen to faux stitch thread and some rhinestones in the corners.

You Were Right

 

I have to say this will probably be my favorite Mother's Day sentiment ever. It is so perfect for me to send to my mom now that I am an adult for all those years growing up and listening to all her advice.

For my card:

• I stamped the LOVEBIRDS BRANCH - 413H on the right side of the card.
• Next, I stamped the BIRDHOUSE TREE BRANCH - 733K on the left side of the card.
• I then stamped the new YOU WERE RIGHT MOTHER'S DAY GREETING - 117G under the branches.
• Once the images were stamped, I colored with copics for a very quick and simple card.

Daisy Basket

Hi Everyone & Happy March 1st!

I've loved seeing all the bright, cheerful cards here on the blog.  It looks like we're all ready for spring to show up and I'm joining in with my Mother's Day card that's an explosion of daises.  

I stamped, colored and die cut the Daisy Basket and layered it onto a background.  For that I used the Medium Daisy Bloom and colored it to match. 

I added an embossed strip along with the Happy Mother's Day sentiment that I created using my circle punches and finished it with some glitter glue to give the flower centers some pizazz!

Happy Mothers Day

Hi all, I hope you are having the best day ever.

For my card today I have a Mothers day card. I started by stamping the Happy Mother's Day in black ink and adding circle layers. I stamped the Wood Grain Background  with white ink I didn't think it showed up well so I used some white embossing powder. The Large Single Butterfly was colored with Copic markers and fussy cut. For the background I stamped the Silhouette Branch Background and peacock ink.

On the inside I stamped the Mothers Day Greeting with peacock ink and the butterfly is from Three Butterflies.

Picture Perfect & Super Mom

 Happy Friday!

I hope your week has gone well! Wouldn't you love to be sitting in a beach chair w/ a fancy umbrella drink staring at these flamingos in the water & watching the sun go down? Me too! Well, since I can't be there, this polaroid type picture will have to fill in. After I stamped & colored this wonderful Flamingo scene, I die cut a white frame & added part of the greeting on a little flag above & the rest on the frame itself. With a greeting like that, adding the little die cut camera seemed perfect.

Here's a look at the inside & below it are the Copics I used.

And since Sunday is Mother's Day, I have a card for all the Super Moms out there. That's all of you, right? When this greeting came out last month, I immediately had a picture of a Super  Hero Mom w/ a red cape. So after stamping her, I drew a flowing cape & colored everything. I die cut a pierced oval frame & royal blue layer for it, then did a little out of the box so Super Mom could be coming out of the frame. I'm sure Super Mom had to do a quick Clark Kent maneuver to fly off and take care of some kid emergency 😁

Blue Flowers

Welcome!

You ever have one of those stamping nights where you've made several elements to a card that individually all look great but when you put them all together you think "eh"?  Such was my life this past Monday.  I finally had to walk away till Tuesday and after another frustrating hour I figured it out - take all the pieces and make 2 cards!

My first card uses the yellow plaid I made using our Woven Plaid as well as a white frame and the Medium Daisy Bloom that I stamped in black ink and colored in blue.  I had to add the green Happy Birthday layer and attach it all to a folded green card.

For my 2nd card I used a background that I stamped with our Medium Daisy Bloom using blue ink and colored with blue and yellow markers.  I added the white brads and then the white circle that I stamped with our Happy Mother's Day greeting using blue ink.  I layered both on bright green and since it still needed something, I used my old, but never used paper bow die cut in bright yellow.

I still have a few bits and pieces that didn't work for either of these cards, but I'm sure they'll make an appearance on another card soon ;)

Mother's Day Heart

Hi all, today I have a Mother's day card to share with you today.

I started by just stamping the heart portion for the Valentine Heart with Versa mark ink and embossing it with white embossing powder then coloring it with Zig clear color markers. With the help of my Misty I stamped the Happy Mother's Day in the center of the heart with Spun Suger Distress Ink.

Tea Time

Good morning!

Mother's Day is approaching so it's time to get the tea sets out!

Well, that would be how it was for my mom anyway.  She loved pretty tea cups and had quite the collection!

DRS Designs stamps: Violet Teacup, Dogwood Branch and 

Happy Mother's Day.

 Inside

I did an Oxide Distress and cling wrap background for the teacup background.  I used some complimentary colors to let the teacup stand out.  I have a drawer full of pretty lace so I used a bit on the front of my card (it has little flowers on it so it seemed perfect).

The inside I just did a simple Dogwood Branch with purple and the only color I added was some yellow stamen.  I also used a sentiment die band from Taylored Expressions and stamped my Happy Mother's Day on it.

My second card is an easel card...I know, I do a lot of those but it is my favorite simple fold.  It is a basket of flowers in thanks for sympathy shown.

My dies are from Spellbinders and the embossing folder is from Cuttlebug.
I did just a bit of out of the box cutting toward the bottom of my basket so that I would not have to use a bigger square.  When you turn squares on the diamond they become quite large and sometimes are too big for the overall card size.
