Happy Holloween-Oxide Distress Ink Backgrounds

Good morning!

I have some more Halloweeny cards for you today.
This first one is an easel card (It's been awhile since I made my last one!)
I stamped the Halloween Arc 043E and Silhouette Haunted House 058P using my Misti so that I could get a very black solid image using VersaFine.
I then sponged some Oxide inks on blending as I went.
I used a fine mist spray bottle to mist a bit of water onto my background, this makes tiny little spots.  I used a pigment white ink pad to sponge some "fog" coming from the ground.
My frame is popped up and I used a Martha Stewart fence border punch to make some fence pieces to use on top of my frame at the bottom. An Elizabeth Craft die for the watching bird on the fence and I.O. ghost dies for the vellum ghost coming from the windows.
My inside panels were done basically the same using the Silhouette Grave Yard 579H and Witch Ya Halloween greeting 322D.
The Broom 300H was stamped and colored separately then fussy cut.
Both sponged panels, top and inside, were die cut with a Lawn Fawn rectangle cross stitched die, as well as the sentiment.

My next card uses a masking technique.  I used my Misti again and stamped the Trick or Treaters Last Stop 277L, masked and stamped Silhoutte Spooky Village 141H.  I made sure the moon on the Village was not in the picture (wouldn't do to have 2 moons, heehee!) The sky was sponged with pink and yellow Oxide Inks (they go on very smoothly).   I then tore some black card stock and put one layer down to blend the ground a bit better. I then stamped and fussy cut the Silhoutte Grave Yard 579H and layered it under another piece of torn black card stock.  I used white acrylic paint to add highlights to everything and white pigment ink to sponge on some "fog" (otherwise you would not see the grave stones at all).   I matted on black and then pink and finally yellow before adding it to my white card base.  I then stamped the Empty Spider Web 329G and RIP Tombstone 570B , made 2 triangles and placed them on 2 diagonal corners. This was a sketch on SCS this week.

The final touch was to add the Sizzix "Beware" die sentiment on the bottom.

This was fun to make and looks  kind of cool doesn't it?
I love the spooky moonshine on everything!!

Thanks for visiting today and have a great weekend!
Robin

These cards are both so fun and colorful! LOVE the vellum ghosts coming out of the house! Your 2nd card is amazing too - great idea adding the village houses and the graveyard. Incredible job with the white accents!

These are fabulous, Robin! Love the brilliant colors on both. The easel fold looks terrific on your first & I love the spider web in the corner on the second.
