Happy 4th of July!
I hope your week has gone well and you have lots of fun plans for this Independence weekend! My card today is for my sister. Her birthday is July 3rd, so she tends to get a lot of red, white & blue birthday cakes & cards. I think this cake image is just lovely in any color combo. After stamping & coloring it, I fussy cut it because I knew the tall candles would end up very close to the top. On the top of the background, I white embossed the polka dot background..I think the white on white adds a nice texture without making it look too busy. I added a die cut fancy border w/ a blue ombre strip behind the top that I just colored w/ Copics. The greeting was stamped in the opening & some sequins added for a little sparkle. The finished card is 5.50 x 4.25 and these are the Copics I used.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a fabulous 4th!

Supplies:
ink: Distress ink chipped sapphire (for cake), Memento danube blue (for greeting), Colorbox white frost pigment (for polka dots)
paper: white
accessories: white embossing powder, Copic markers, sequins, Spellbinders A2 matting basics B die, Cheery Lynn die (Southern charm valance)
