Happy Independence Day
>> Monday, June 30, 2014
This Friday is Independence Day here in the USA so I thought I'd share a red, white and blue card created for the holiday.
I started by stamping the Freedom cannon in Memento Black ink on white CS, coloring it with Copics and fussy cutting it. The background was created by stamping the firework portion of the stamp in VersaMark ink on white CS, heat embossing it with clear embossing powder, then sponging on Night of Navy ink. The red panel was punched with a star border and stamped with VersaMark using the starry background stamp. The sentiment was stamped with black ink, die cut and sponged along the edges with some navy ink. The arrows were die cut and some stars were added as well.
There's still time to join this week's challenge to use something new on your card. You can see details here.
Thanks for stopping by today.
Until next week,
shelia
