Goodbye Summer

Welcome!

Wouldn't you know, that as soon as I embrace the cooler fall weather we get a flashback of summer!  Hasn't been ridiculously hot, but lots and lots of humidity - yuck!  So for now I'm just staying inside in air conditioned comfort and stamping myself some fall :)

I started my card by stamping our new Pumpkin Patch image on white card stock.  I masked the small pumpkin on the right so I could stamp our Autumn Leaf Pile behind it.  There's already some grass on the pumpkin patch image so I used our Easy Grass Background to finish the rest of the "lawn".  Once all the stamping was finished I did all the coloring (except the sky) with watercolor pencil/marker combo (the leaf pile was so easy to color - I put a little red pencil in a few leaves, then a few green and a few orange as well, then colored the whole thing with a yellow alcohol marker) then masked both images and sponged in the sky.  I finished stamping by adding our new Goodbye Summer greeting using black ink.

Thanks for stopping by,
Sue

Sue, this is a wonderful card - such a great scene full of Fall colors with a hint of the end of Summer in the grass. Love the leaf pile with the pumpkins. We have had the same here - a touch of Fall and then the warmer weather popped back in for its last hurrah (I hope). Great card.
