Give Thanks

Welcome!

I'm so excited that my favorite stamping time of year is finally here!  I just love stamping fall and harvest images.  Love everything about it!

My card today started with one of my favorite background stamps - the Woven Plaid!  This plaid was created using both of the tutorials on our website.  I started by using our Woven Plain Easy Background demo (on a diagonal) using yellow and orange inks and white card stock.  Once that was finished I moved on to our Cut Apart Plaid Demo and added some brown lines using the medium section and some green and raspberry lines using the thinnest section.  It still needed a bit of something so I sponged on some yellow ink across the whole thing.

For my pumpkin, I stamped our soon to be released Give Thanks greeting towards the bottom on a piece of white card stock.  I also stamped it on a post it note to make a mask.  The only difference between this mask and a regular one is that I made sure to leave extra paper (almost 1/8") around the image because I wanted to remove as much of the lines inside the pumpkin as possible.  Stamping the Pumpkin Bouquet around it took a bit of guess work but I got it on my second try.  All that was left was coloring and fussy cutting the pumpkin and layering it all together on a folded orange card and adding my big bow.

Thanks so much for stopping by!!
Sue
