Celebrating that time of year...
>> Tuesday, September 12, 2017
Hi Everyone,
Whether you celebrate the season by giving out candy, or just by decorating with all things pumpkin, I've got you covered with my cards today.
For this first card, the focal scene was stamped, heat embossed, trimmed and matted. I set it aside and created my background papers using the Empty Spiderweb and Candy Corn Border stamps. I colored those little candies and added a punched border before attaching it to the base background. I added the Vertical Happy Halloween as my greeting, because it was a perfect fit along the side. You know what? As much as I love candy corn, I'm not sure I would join those Tricker Treaters Last Stop if that house was on my street! LOL!
Well, there's nothing creepy about this next card which shows off a couple of new stamps coming out later this week.
I made the background by using the Brick Wall and the new Wooden Floor stamp to create the scene. I colored and fussy cut the Split Scarecrow, and the pumpkins from the Bountiful Basket and adhered them to the background.
The sentiment is a new one as well and coming out soon, and that was die cut and matted to complete the scene.
As always, stamps and more inspiration are always available at DRS Designs!
Here's wishing you everything happy and nice!

I love your floor and wall and the little sign with all the fall decorations all around! Looks like we are walking into a fall boutique or some fun thing! What a great card and your first is a fun Halloween card with the webs and those kids going up the hill...ooh, spooky!
2 wonderful cards Karin! Your first card has me craving some candy corn (but I agree, don't know that I'd go to the spooky house on the hill for it :) Your split scarecrow card is amazing! Great job with the floor and brick wall! Love your coloring and the added pumpkins too!
Great cads, Karin! I really like the candy corn background on that first one! Beautiful coloring on the second one. Your floor looks awesome with the scarecrow & pumpkins. I did a similar thing with this new image & I like the way you colored your floor best! 😊
Great cards Karin, the scarecrow on the floor is adorable. love both cards.
Karin, some great combinations of images on both your cards. You do the best handmade designer paper - love how you did the first card with different images. Love the brick wall and new floor images on your darling Fall card. Some super ideas here!!!!
These are wonderful, Karin! Your trick or treaters are so cute & love all the layers & bgs. Your scarecrow card is fabulous! Love the colors. I used the wall/floor combo on one mine, too. Thank goodness I used different colors, lol.
