Happy Birthday

>> Thursday, June 21, 2018

Good morning!

Today I have a couple of birthday cards for you.
This first on is so fun using a swing arm type die from Karen Burniston
The front has a window that you can see when opening.
When you open the card an arm swings down to reveal, in this case, a shark.
It could swing down with what ever image or die cut you like.
and Brush Beach Sunrise768L on the front.
The background is Dylusion spray inks (yellow, orange and hot pink).

Then Brush Beach Sunrise, Silhouette Palm Tree Line again

The blue water background inside is done with inks, water and coarse
salt (leave sprinkled coarse salt on the inky background until
dry then shake salt off to reveal a nice design).
The palm tree die cut is also part of a Karen Burniston die set.

This second card uses the same background techniques
and a swirl design die from Sue Wilson.
This is an easel card with the swirl design at the top of the front
and the bottom of the inside card base only.
The birds are Memory Box dies and the waves are Karen Burniston
Dies.  I used DRS stamps: 4 in 1 Seashells 473F, Sailboat 887F
I also used white paint on the waves for whitecaps.

The seashells and boat are fussy cut.  I stamped the boat on the background
first so that i didn't have to cut out the thin lines.  The shore line is Stickles
and Liquid Applique.  I added some pearls for fun.

Thanks for visiting today!

Wow, Robin, these are some very amazing cards. Great shape, AWESOME colors, and really fun details. I am always amazed at your attention to detail and very cool use of color. I could go on and on about the things I love about these (i.e. how great that shark looks and your bgs). Hugz

Incredible cards Robin! Yours colors are AWESOME! I haven't heard of using coarse salt, but I love the effect! Both cards are total works of art with so many details - I keep finding something new to be amazed at!
