Deer In The Dogwoods

>> Wednesday, June 20, 2018

I was looking at some Vera Bradley patterns this weekend and they inspired me to make this Father's Day card for my Pop.  The pattern had flowers and lots of pink, so I needed a strong masculine image to get this to work out.  The Buck Bust image was the perfect way to add that masculine touch.

I stamped and masked the deer (I was inspired by Sue's awesome masking she did on her card for last week), then I stamped the Dogwood Branch image all over the card.  Then I water colored everything and added in a few splatters.  To top it off, I added a fussy cut dogwood flower branch and the I Love You greeting.

I was easier than it sounds and the water coloring was so relaxing.

Hugz,

Nancy

Wow, those water colored flowers are so pretty and I totally see the Vera B. inspiration come thorough! I love the addition of the dimensional flowers behind the sentiment and your coloring on the deer is sheer perfection!
