Celebrate Birthdays

>> Monday, June 11, 2018

Happy Monday Everyone. Hope you had a great week and weekend. I have a couple of birthday cards to show you today. The first one is on the feminine side and uses the new flower scroll image. I started by stamping the flower scroll with Memento black ink onto white CS, colored with Copics and attached it to a black panel. Next I die cut another black panel with a SB celebrate die. Once the layers were attached, I added the black gingham ribbon and then put everything on the white card base. The flowers were die cut using various flower and leaf dies.

The second birthday card is more playful. I sponged the water/waves with a couple of Distress oxide inks using a stencil made with a wavy border die. The Killer birthday greeting and bubbles were stamped with Versafine Black ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. I added some clear Nuvo drops to the bubbles to make them look a bit more realistic. The happy Shark was stamped onto white CS, colored with Copics and fussy cut. I die cute some sea grass and attached them along with the shark image.

Thanks for stopping by today.

blessings,
shelia

Pretty use of the flower scroll image on the first, Sheila - that card is elegant and pretty. The Happy Shark card is super fun. Love your undersea foliage. We went to the Georgia Aquarium yesterday and saw lots of sharks - some even looked like they were smiling! Fun card. Hugz

2 fun cards Shelia! Love the flower scroll card with the large celebrate and the pretty flowers! Your shark card is adorable - which is so hard to do with a killer shark :) Awesome background - I love how the light seems to be shining down to the ocean floor!

Oh this card is marvelous!! I have the shark but still haven't used it (I'm scared to death of sharks). This is so adorable though, love it!

Great birthday cards today! I love that you made the flowers multi-colored on the first card and the die cut celebrate looks marvelous against the white background :) The underwater ocean waves on your second card are outstanding! I love the all the bubbles and the shark nestled among the seaweed sprigs makes a great card for a boy!
