Time For A New Beginning!

>> Thursday, May 10, 2018

Good morning!

Graduation is coming very soon and most
people know kids who are graduating from high school or college
so it's time to be thinking of new Graduation cards to make.
Over these last and next weeks you will find
lots of ideas from DRS Designs right here
on the blog!
My first card is an easel card using DRS stamps: A New Beginning 602E,

I used a nesting die set from Little B and an oval die from We R Memory Makers/Lifestyle Crafts, some glittery enamel dots and foam to raise the sentiment for a "stop".  I inked the edges with Archival Sky Blue Ink.

This next card is a sweet thank you with DRS Designs new Flower Wheelbarrow 629H and Deco Thank you 623E
I also used the new Flower Scroll 617F to do the yellow background.
The curved border is from a Spellbinders border die set.

I pre-stamped the Flower Wheelbarrow on to the white card and
then again on another piece of white to color and fussy cut out.  This
allows for some fudging on the cutting out of fine line details.
I then colored with Copics and glued onto the stamped image
on the card.  I then decided where I wanted the Thank You
and stamped it with Black VersaFine.
I used 3 yellow matte finish enamel dots for embellishment.

Thanks for visiting today and I hope you come away with some
new ideas to try!
