Adventures Await!

>> Wednesday, May 16, 2018

Adventure.  Something we all probably crave.  When I was younger I did some pretty adventurous things like hiking, camping, and being on a hot air balloon team entering races across the Southwest.  I also had a job that was 100% travel in my 20s.  Today, I am happy with a trip to Hobby Lobby or Michaels.

Today, I have several cards to show you using the new Let the Adventure Begin Greeting.

This card also uses the Dogwood Branch image.  I did the background using ink smooshing (swipe ink on aluminum foil, splash on water, and dip in your paper), and the tree rings and foliage are Tim Holtz Sizzix Dies.

This card uses the Silhouette Palm Tree Line image.  The background is a water color wash and I tore the bottom to look a bit like a beach.

This card uses the Cowboy Silhouette image.  I did a water color wsh for the background and then folded the paper several times and distressed the folds with white craft ink and distress ink in Tea Stain.  A brad and some raffia finished it off.

Hope your week is full of your kind of adventure!

Nancy

Your adventure cards are just amazing! That one with the dogwood flower and the tree bark is beyond beautiful! Love the tropical one...I will use this idea for a bon voyage card for my friends and the cowboys never looked so good! Love all the layers and the distressed grid. Perfect masculine card :)

These cards are Amazing Nancy!!! Incredible how different they are with only the one common stamp. I love how you embellished the tree ring card with the dogwood and the pine branches (it's probably my favorite :), the torn edge of the palm tree card (I keep having to remind myself that it's not sand glue on) and the tile look of the cowboy card. Awesome post!!
