by Julie Warner - The Write Stuff

 Happy Friday!
I hope your week has gone well! Did you have a nice warm up or are you still all bundled up? We're both around here..just depends on the day, lol. It's a little ridiculous that we're still having freeze warnings & I'm getting real tired of dragging plants in at night then back out again the next day. Oh well!

Here's the second background I promised last week. Similar colors & using the oxide inks again. But on this bg, I stamped the Lines O’ Plenty Bg  all over it w/ the same inks. I love the faint linen look it gives. The Welcome Oval was stamped onto a separate piece using the majestic blue ink. Then I took a white gel pen added the highlights to give it a little depth. The Welcome word was stamped again on white & die cut to add on top.
After layering the oval, the bottom still looked a little empty so I added a couple of frames & some die cut houses & trees for a "welcome to the neighborhood" kind of look.

Here's a look at the inside.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great weekend!

Supplies:
paper: Staples 110# white, navy
ink:  Distress inks &/or Distress Oxide inks in carved pumpkin, abandoned coral, picked raspberry, ripe persimmon, Versafine majestic blue
accessories: Misti, Spellbinders ovals, pierced ovals dies.  ODBD pierced rectangles & double stitched rectangles dies, white gel pen, Ranger brayer, Poppystamps houses & trees dies

Julie, your linen bg is soooooo cool! I am going to try that for sure. The depth you achieved on the oval design is amazing. I thought I was going to see you embossed it several times. Wonderful touches that make this an outstanding card. Impressive designing my friend. Hugz

Stunning! I love the die cut paired up with the new welcome greeting and the color and texture you achieved using that background stamp is nothing short of amazing!
