Purple Plaid Welcome

Welcome!

With Easter over it's time to focus on more all occasion cards than holiday cards for a while and I couldn't wait to get this new Welcome stamp inky!

I started my card by stamping our new Welcome Oval using both black and purple inks, stamping it on white card stock and die cutting it into an oval.  Next step was to make the plaid, using our Cut Apart Plaid Demo and using the biggest section and grey ink and the littlest section with purple ink on a diagonal.  It was the middle layer that stumped me for a bit.  Once I ran across my scallop die cut, I thought I was just about finished, except that once I had the purple die cut I really wanted to add the black back into the little cut outs.  No biggie right?  Just cut a black one out and use the little pieces, except I'm not sure how anyone else it putting it all back together but I decided to use 1 tiny bit of tape on the back of each scallop.  I thought that was the hard part until I started putting all those tiny piece into the purple layer and for whatever reason was just too lazy to get up and get my tweezers.  The good news was as I was adding those tiny pieces I recalled one of the first die cut sets I bought that came with these great corner pieces and once they were cut out of black and glued into place I was finally happy with my card :)

Thanks so much for stopping by!
