CAS Welcome Card

>> Wednesday, April 11, 2018

I have had a crazy busy April so far, so I am going CAS today which is not my go-to style.  I started by stamping the Dogwood Branch image on my panel and then masking it so I could stamp the image all over again in crumb cake.  Then I sponged on some color, and hit the middles with a bit of Prisma Pencils.

For the sentiment, I stamped the Welcome Oval and cut out the welcome part to make a little banner.  A few pearls and a crumb cake frame finished it off, and it was done in less than 10 minutes.

I also have one more Easter card I neglected to previously share (shouldn't Easter by all year long anyway?):
This card was done for an Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoaststampers.com.   I started by inking up the Dandelion Puff image and spritzing it with water before stamping. I did that about 10 times with 5 different colors although I seemed to get a green color a lot.  I used the Three Wooded Crosses next.  I was going to go for a light effect, but I couldn't see the crosses in all those colors so I filled the crosses in with more ink.  I sponged on some more ink using a honeycomb stencil because I felt it needed something more.  The 1 Line Easter Blessings greeting finished it off.

Hope your week is going well.

Hugz,

Nancy

You're right on the all year Easter for sure :) Both cards are lovely! The dogwood is one of my all time favorite stamps and this is so soft and pretty! And the background behind the crosses is amazing!
