Birthday Bouquet

>> Monday, April 23, 2018

Happy Monday everyone. Hope you had a great weekend. We have finally had a couple of consecutive days with sunshine and more normal temperatures. It's beginning to feel like spring!

I went to a local craft store the other day to get one specific die. Well, you can probably guess what happened. I did get that die set, but saw something else and well..... Here are a couple of birthday cards I created using this new fun flower die from Gina Marie.

First I worked on the backgrounds by adding a few colors of TH Distress Oxide inks to some Glossy paper. Once the panels dried I rubbed on some TH Distress Micro Glaze. The glaze really brings out the color and makes it more permanent.

Next I die cut the flowers (all one die) from the white and black panels. I used the outline die just to emboss the edges to give the flowers a bit more definition. The Birthday Wishes greeting was stamped with Versafine Onyx ink on the white panel and heat embossed in white on the black panel.

I really like how these turned out. Thanks for stopping by today.

blessings,
shelia

Beautiful cards Shelia! Love that you did a black and a white version and changed up the background colors of both!

Sheila, this die is fabulous! Love both looks. I want some of that glaze - it looks amazing behind the first card. Super great ideas and cards! hugz

That is such a cool die! I love the colors on the background behind the cut out and the birthday wishes sentiment is just perfect!

These are beautiful, Shelia! Yep..I know how that "one" thing goes, lol. I guess it's a good thing there are no stamp stores or Michaels or Hobby Lobby anywhere close to me.
