Valentine Quickie :)

Welcome!

I don't know what it is about these new stamps, but I'm loving the cards I've made using them!

My card today is so quick and easy, and I just love how it turned out!

I started by inking our new Valentine Scroll Oval using red ink for the wording and black for the scrolls (masking the rubber with scotch tape was a big help) and stamping it on white card stock.  After die cutting it I layered it on the black oval and got to work on the rest of my card.  The background is simply an embossed piece of white card stock.  For the strip in the center (this was the trickiest part) I cut my paper to 5 1/4" x 1 1/8" and then put a small light pencil line 1/2" from either side so I could stamp our Ornate Corner Tile with the tip just touching the line using red ink.  Once the ink dried I simply erased the pencil mark and layered everything on a folded black card.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

This is such a pretty Valentine, Sue. I really like all the white with just a touch of red! So beautiful!

How lovely, Sue! Your embossed bg is just the right setting for the fancy, flourish greeting oval. Perfect colors, too.

I love the clean elegant look to your card today! The two toned sentiment looks fantastic and I love the red peeking out from behind the sentiment!
