Thanksgiving Apple Basket

>> Thursday, September 28, 2017

Welcome!

I have a Thanksgiving card for you today that should really be a Halloween card cause I used a lot of masks - get it??  Masks...Halloween?  Sorry, sometimes bad humor is all I got  :)

I started this card by stamping white card stock with our Apple Basket image, masking it and adding our Simply Pumpkin in back of it and masking that as well.  I stamped our new Floor image on top of the masks and then added a mask for the floor as well so I could stamp our Wood Grain image on top of everything creating the walls.  I removed the floor mask and keeping the other masks in place I dragged the edge of a brown stamp pad along the floor instead of coloring it.  I did roughly the same thing for the walls using a lighter ink color, removed the masks and added some darker shading to the walls using markers.  Once I colored the apple basket and the pumpkin, I added the Happy Thanksgiving to You sign above and attached it all to a folded black card.

Thanks for stopping by,
Sue

Some great masking and combining here, Sue. I love the fun Fall colors and theme. The images all work together so well and I wish I would have thought of it! Great card.
