Rustic Dogwood Sympathy

>> Thursday, August 10, 2017

Welcome!

I always like to keep a few sympathy cards on hand, so I got busy and added this one to my stash.

I started by stamping our Wood Grain Background on kraft and sponged on some brown ink.  I stamped our Dogwood Branch on a separate piece of white card stock and colored and fussy cut it.  The Sadness You're Feeling sympathy sentiment was stamped on white using green ink and sponging on brown ink.  For the layer under the sentiment I cut a piece of card stock to size and covered it with double stick tape and covered that with twine which I then cut even on the edges.

Thanks for stopping by!

Sue, I love that twine frame behind this sweeet sentiment. This is a lovely sympathy card with a lot of texture. I love when you focus your cards on a sentiment instead of an image - DRS sentiments are so great. Great card. Hugz

I think these cards are a must have for your stash...they're too hard to make when you are in need of one :) Very cool idea with the twine, that panel has such a great texture and your wood background is great!
