Breathless Sunset

Happy Friday!
I hope your week has gone well! Does this island scene look like THE place to be, or what? I'm pretty sure there's a nice breeze, seagulls calling, & a tall umbrella drink nearby. This reminds me somewhat of sitting at Barbers Point in Hawaii. Except that the further row of palm trees obscures the runway to the airport, lol. It's a little weird to be sitting there gazing at the sunset on the water, then a plane rolls by on the line where the palm trees are...almost like it's landing on water. I have a picture of that exact thing...somewhere.

Minus the plane, I really like how this scene turned out. This Palm Tree Line looks awesome & I see a lot of use in its future. I immediately pictured a water sunset scene & here it is. I started by masking off a circle for the sun & a straight mask for the horizon & sponged on the water. Then I reversed the the horizon mask & sponged the sky & sun rays. After removing these masks, I sponged on the yellows for the sun. Then the fun began! I put the sponged panel into my Misti & stamped the palm trees & greeting. The seagulls were added & I used a white gel pen on them & here & there on the water.
Here's a look at the inside.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great weekend!

Incredible Julie! Awesome idea using the palm tree from both sides!! Your colors and shading are perfect! Don't know if you planned it or not, but I love how the word Life is almost centered in the sun!
