Rose Encrusted Follow Your Dreams Tag

>> Wednesday, May 24, 2017

Hello friends!

Here in Alabama, we have been having a lot of rain.  We needed it!

With rain comes pretty flowers and yummy corn and tomatoes.  To celebrate flowers today, my tag has some rolled roses made out old cookbook pages purchased at a thrift store and colored up with distress ink and spritzed with water (saturates the color).

My tag is made out of recycled cardboard painted with some white chalk paint and then sponged a bit with distress ink and sprayed with some green Dylusions spray.

When doing the flower arranging, I tucked in some pieces of SU! Doily sprayed with the Dylusions and some Martha Stewart punched springs.  Took a bit of old cutdown ribbon and some gold twine for the tie.

This a sneak peak at a new DRS image coming out this week.  It is a very cool follow your dreams sign post.  I cut out the words, sponged them, and tucked them around the tag.

IRL this is sooo pretty and would totally dress up a present or gift bag.

Hugz,
Nancy

This is beyond gorgeous! Your rolled flowers are stunning and I love that they were made from an old cookbook! This has such great texture and I love what you did with the sentiment too :) Cannot wait for fresh produce to start showing up at the farmers markets...One of the best parts of summer!
