Springtime Flowers

>> Thursday, April 6, 2017

Welcome!

I am very excited to say that my daffodils have started to bloom!!!  Because of this I just had to feature them in my card today :)

When I first sat down to stamp this card, my plan was to use just the flowers from our new Sneaky Bunny Flower Pot stamp as the background

and then use the whole image as my focal point.  Once I stamped the background/border of flowers using a mask, I thought it was a little busy with the Sneaky Bunny on top, so I settled for our new Springtime Easter greeting stamped in raspberry.

Oh, and here's a stamping tip for you - I didn't want any of the bunny ears mixed in with my flowers, so once I had the stamp on the acrylic block I put a bit of masking tape on either side right where the ears ended.  It made stamping the border one of the easiest I've ever made!  I just lined up the top of the tape with the edge of the card and it was exactly where I wanted it!

Thanks for stopping by,
Sue

LOL! Our minds are on the same wave length Sue! I just made a card with a tulip border. I just love how sweet and spring like this card looks! Great coloring too :)
