Ink and Water Distress

>> Wednesday, April 26, 2017

This week, I am sooooo lazy - I think I have a bad case of Spring Fever.  I am so lazy that I decided to just stamp, sponge, spray and dry my cards this week.  No cutting, layering, coloring, or anything else.

On my first card, I stamped the new Flowering Tree Branch image and the Our Thoughts Are With You sentiment.  Then I sponged the whole card with some blue SU! ink.  Next I sponged on some Tim Holtz Walnut Stain Distress ink.  I sprayed on some water and then patted the paper dry with a paper towel followed with some quick blasts of my heat gun.

On my second card, I stamped the Buck Bust image and followed the same technique as on the fist card.  Then I stamped the new Picture Perfect Day sentiment and sponged it a bit.

I finished them both in less than 30 minutes.  I  am thinking the deer card would make a great birthday card for my hubby or Dad  or even a super Father's Day card.

Hugz,

Nancy

Nancy, I really like these backgrounds! They are perfect for these images & greetings. Can't believe you made them both in 30 minutes. I can't do a single card in 30 minutes! :-)

Incredible backgrounds Nancy! Love the blue fade around the flowers/greeting and how the water splotches add so much pizzazz!

Your backgrounds are so cool they don't need anything else! I love this idea and the fact that it works for all types of cards! And I always need help with masculine cards!

Your bgs are amazing, Nancy! I love how the muted colors change & the big water drops really add interest. Super cards!

Very masculine bg's Nancy, great for both cards! Love how you turned the branch so that it is made to look like stacks with flowers.
