Happy Good Friday!
I hope your week has gone well & you're getting ready for Easter weekend! My first card was inspired by a challenge a couple of weeks ago on Splitcoast to used Prismacolor pencils & white ink on black card stock. I like this technique, but it is challenging because you kind of have to think in reverse when coloring. I used my Misti to stamp the ducks with Brilliance moonlight white ink. Usually you use pigment but Brilliance dries so much faster & w/ the Misti, I can stamp it repeatedly to really make it bright. I used Prismas to color it then stamped over it again w/ the white ink.
I added a butter yellow frame w/ a soft peach layer behind it to keep it from being too dark. After stamping the greeting, I added some flowers because it just needed "something". Maybe I should call this one "Ducks at Night", lol.  Here's a look at the inside using leftover frames & flowers.
My second card was inspired by a challenge this week to make a CAS card about Easter egg hunting. I was pretty good at hunting Easter eggs when I was a kid. In fact, my dad used to make me put some back for my sister & brother. Waaaaaahhhhhh... not fair! Then there was the prize Falstaff egg. No different than any other..just had the word "Falstaff" on it. And I have no idea why, other than it was a beer my dad sometimes drank. So I'd put some back, but if I had the Falstaff egg, I was keeping that puppy!
My CAS card has a big ol' bunny face, a big ol' rainbow egg (not the Falstaff, obviously) & and an Easter egg hunt sign, in case you didn't know the way. Colored & fussy cut the pieces, added some grass & clouds and a-bee-a-bee-a-bee-a that's all folks!
Here's a look at the inside & below it are the Copics I used.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a very Happy Easter!!

Great cards, Julie. I have never tried the pencil over white on black but I am going to soon. This come out really well and your framing brings out the yellow on the duck so well. I love that bunny hiding card too - so full of fun! Awesome work as always. Hugz
