Shamrocks

>> Tuesday, March 7, 2017

Hi Everyone,

All I can say is, hooray for the month of March!  While the weather is never great where I live, at least if it does snow, you know it won't stick around for months on end.  March is always the light at the end of the long tunnel of winter, and there's the fun of St. Patrick's Day smack dab in the middle of it too.

To wish you some happiness, I inked up the new Love and Laughter Friends Greeting in green ink, die cut it and added a green mat to match.  I set it aside and chose to mix it up for myself by using some Kraft card stock.  I stamped the Tall Shamrocks in Versamark and heat set them using white embossing powder.  I then took a green water based marker (the alcohol markers dissolve the embossed edge) and colored in those Irish beauties.

Before mounting it on a Kraft base with white center layer, I added 3 strips of double sided taped, coated those in some glitter, and rounded all of the edges.  I attached my greeting and then added  gems for even more sparkle.

Be sure to check out all of the most recently released DRS Designs stamps here.

Have a great day!
Karin

Karin, this is super lovely. Great way to showcase the sentiment and I love your white embossing (I so need to use that technique more). Hoping for a mild March and lots of fun in it for you too! Hugz

Love your green glittery strips and white embossed clover. That sentiment is wonderful and looks great as the main focus of your card!! Fun St. Patrick's Day card!
