Golden Rainbow

>> Wednesday, February 22, 2017

I love Saint Patrick's Day. Green is my favorite color, I love shamrocks, and I love the idea of a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow. Actually, Saint Patrick was a great example for us all.  He struggled through captivity, walked 200 miles to freedom, and gave up comfort of a loving family to spread the gospel. One of my favorite things about St. Patrick is that he tried to find unique ways to reach the people rather than just trying to force the word on them.

For this card, I decided to make the rainbow full of gold - in real life it sparkles like crazy.

For the sentiment I used Shamrocks and Shenanigans Greeting and for the shamrocks I used the Tall Shamrocks.  I sponged the grass and sky.

Nancy

That is such a good idea, making your rainbow a bow of gold with shamrocks in it! I thought it was copper till I read your description...the light does funny things to shiny metallics!! Very fun card!!
