Toasty Warm

>> Saturday, January 14, 2017

Good morning everyone!
Today I have a nice cup of cocoa for you...with marshmallows, of course!

I made this into a gate fold card using the Bump Border die by Memory Box.  The gate is just a bit different as the two side do not meet in the middle.  I wanted to create a closure so my right side goes over the top of the left side.
The Warm thought greeting panel is what keeps the card closed as I tuck the right side of the card under the half of the sentiment hanging over as seen in my sample.
Other dies I've used are the circle dies and border dies from ODBD.
The other "embellishment" I've used is the Liquid Applique puffed up with heat on my marshmallows.  It works great to create a bubbly hot marshmallow look.

My next card is for Valentine's Day!
Some more of our new stamps here at DRS!

I stamped everything in pink and filled in with a lighter pink.
I also used Rick Rack, and embossing folder and an oval decorative die (ODBD).
I made this card to fit a sketch.
Well, it is getting that time of year when people start thinking of making Valentine's cards for kids and husbands and maybe making cards for your kids to give away at school.
These new stamps are adorable!

Incredible Cocoa card Robin! I can't decide which I like more the shading on the mug. the polka dots in the background or the 3d marshmallows :)
I like the Valentine's card too! The added rick rack is a fun touch!

I love how the polka dot background matches the dots on the mug! Your attention to detail is just extraordinary...And the love maze matched up the sentiment makes for a fun valentine!
