5 minute Christmas card!

>> Wednesday, December 21, 2016

Welcome!

I hope you're all setting back with nothing to do, just waiting on Santa.  Me?  Not so much :)

I only had time for a quick card this week...

I started by inking our Decorative Merry Christmas and Happy New Year stamp with green ink on the bottom half and red ink on the top and stamping it on a scrap of white card stock.  I cut it out using a nestie oval and used an old fashioned red pen to add a line on the inside of the metal die before removing it.

For my background I stamped our Wood Grain Background using a medium grey ink and then sponged on more of the same ink in between the "boards" and along the edges.

My big decision was to make this a horizontal or vertical card and I went with vertical just because I could make the tails of my red bow longer, but it looked cute horizontal too.

Now if I could only finish my wrapping, baking, decorating as easy as this card :)

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Merry Christmas!!!
Sue

What a cute card, Sue! I like how you sponged ink in between the wood panels, gives it a realistic look.
