Textured Thanks

>> Saturday, November 5, 2016

Good morning!
Keeping with the trash to treasure theme this morning, I've used some little scrap pieces of burlap and the burlap strings that come off when fraying.

There are two pieces of scrap, I just lined them up under my cut out image - Give Thanks Brush Pumpkin 988H.  To stamp the image I used the Kaleidacolor Harvest ink pad and then fussy cut.
My background was done with the solid leaf -701D Medium Silhouette Leaf and the Open Leaf 584D. I used a variety of fall colored inks and then I sponged Tea Stain and Walnut Ink on the edges and ran it through my burlap embossing folder.
I found some buttons to match and strung some of the burlap strings through them then made a bow with the rest of the strings.
I then matted my card top and glued it to a card base using some of my leaf colors for card stock.
That is about it!  So it just goes to prove that all of us craft supply hoarders are right, NEVER throw ANYTHING away! LOL!  Just make a card from it!
Thanks for visiting today!!
Robin

In case you have never seen these ink pads.
The colors stay separated while closed then you push them together after opening with a thumb push.
