Snow Better Time!

>> Monday, October 31, 2016

What's behind the mask? That's the challenge here at DRS Designs this week.

To create the scene inside my window I cut a piece of white CS to fit the window area. I used the triple tree image and since I only wanted one tree showing, I masked off the trees on the left and right and stamped the center tree. After I attached the window frame, it was just too white for me, so I added the little die cut rectangles as shutters on the small windows on the outer edges. The masked part is now hidden. Oh well...

The Snow Better greeting and potted berry tree were stamped with Memento Black ink onto the white CS and colored with Copics before embossing with a brick EF. Once this was attached to the navy CS, the window was glued on and the little red rhinestones added as lights or decorations on the tree. I also added some clear Wink of Stella to the red berries for some added sparkle.

I hope you can find some time to join in this week's challenge. We'd love to see what you hide behind masks!

Thanks for stopping by,
shelia

That tree is so cute with the rhinestones on it and peeking through the window! Great wall and window too!

Shelia, this is adorable! Love your scene - especially that wonderfully fun Christmas tree in the window. Great idea for the berry tree too. Hugz

I love your tree in the window and that was a fun way to use the berry tree.
