Zombies Rising

>> Tuesday, September 13, 2016

Hi Everyone,

It's official.  It's finally time for fall and Halloween in my house.  Any guess as to why I'm now prepared?  The answer is simple.  Candy corn...LOL!  I bought my first bag of the season, and I'm munching away as I type :-)  I know I've been working on making Halloween cards for a few weeks,  but things feel right with the world now that those sugary little nibs made their appearance in my house.

For today's card I chose the Zombies Rising Halloween Greeting that I die cut and matted using oval dies.  I wanted to embellish it with a rising zombie, so I stamped, colored and fussy cut the Zombie Crawler and attached him to the sentiment, making him look like he was crawling over it.  He still needed a little something extra, so I added some googly eyes for fun.

My background was created using orange, green and black ink and the Splatter Background stamp, which I layered onto an orange card base.  I added a strip of ribbon to a punched border and finished it off with a glittery button and a die cut spider.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day :)

Love me some candy corn too, Karin! I need to go get a bag or two - totally forget about them. I love how you did the zombie coming over the sentiment, your speckled bg is awesome, and googly eyes are super creative. Fun, fun card! Hugz
