Summertime!

>> Monday, July 4, 2016

Happy 4th of July to those of you living in America. Hope you have had a great weekend celebrating our independence!

In keeping with this week's The Heat is On challenge here at DRS Designs, I have a summer time card to share with you that features the new sailboat (887F) and summer story sentiment (881C). I paired these two images with the Seaside Dock image.

I started with white CS, stamped the sailboat with Memento Black ink, masked it and stamped the seaside dock image with Memento Black ink. I used a Memento Black marker to create the horizon line, masked both images and sponged on Bashful Blue ink for the sky. The rest was colored with various Copic markers. I used a SB die to cut the frame into the kraft base and attached it to the colored panel.

The greeting was stamped with Versafine Black Onyx ink, die cut and sponged with ink while still in the die. It's attached with foam adhesive for some dimension. Some bakers twine was added to the side. Hope you like it.

There's still time to join in this week's challenge. You can find details here.

Thanks for stopping by,
shelia
