June Bride

>> Saturday, June 11, 2016

Good morning!
When your married in June, you will always be a bride.  Well, that's what the song says anyway, the song in 7 Bides for 7 Brothers.
I was married in December but I still feel like a bride after 33 years.
I also used white sheer ribbon, Darice Embossing folder and My Favorite Things Stitched Oval nesting dies.
I stamped with VersaMagic and embossed with white Embossing Powder on a light ivory shimmer panel.
I used ivory shimmer cardstock (already cut with the deckled edge) to emboss my background flowers with my embossing folder and added white pearls to each center.  The card base is white glossy cardstock as well as the oval frame.
Inside I used ivory shimmer paper weight (because I was out of the cardstock!!!) to emboss my sentiment.  Unfortunately, the paper weight paper does not hold up to heat embossing like the cardstock and I got some waving.

A tip when die cutting and embossing the same panel is to die cut first because die cutting after will flatten your embossing a bit.  It will not look nearly as defined.
The embossed frame (top layer) is popped up over the bride and groom with foam tape.

Thanks for visiting today!
