Happy Mother's Day!

>> Monday, May 2, 2016

Happy May 2! I cannot believe it is already May. My card today goes along with this week's "day" challenge. With Mother's Day next Sunday, I decided I'd better get started on cards for the occasion!

This was a rather simple card to create. I started with a white panel that was embossed with a rose bud EF and attached it to a white card base. The flower vase was die cut with a nestie die. The flowers are from an older Cuttlebug die set. I really like the look of white on white cards, but thought this one needed a bit of color, so I made the flowers in pastel colors. The Mother's Day greeting was stamped with Versafine Onyx black ink and die cut.

Inside the greeting was stamped with Versafine Onyx black ink and some of the 4 flower background flowers  were stamped with Versafine lavender ink in the two opposite corners.

We'd love to have you play along with our "day" challenge. You can see details here.

Thanks for stopping by,
shelia
