Happy Thoughts

Good morning!

I didn't color at all on this card.  I stamped and fussy cut the butterflies from a previously made background panel and I die cut the flowers from another contrasting background panel I had already made.  Sometimes when I really can't think of what I want to make or my mojo has flown the coop, I just get my inks out and make backgrounds to use later.  I have a huge stock pile of them!
They are addicting to do as well!!  Once I start and have my fingers all inky anyway, I can't stop myself...every one comes out so different and so pretty.
This card uses DRS stamps: 3 Butterflies 744F and One Line Happy Thoughts 951D
I also used the curved border dies by Spellbinders and Flowers by Memory Box.
I like bright colors and this card does the trick!  Very fun.  My ribbon is purple and pink gingham.
Butterflies make almost everyone happy so this card is full of them.  It also means a brand new start!
I have a very good friend who loves butterflies just for that reason!  Her husband was killed about 15 years ago by a drunk driver and the butterfly became a symbol to her of starting her life over.  She had NEVER had a job (besides wife and mother) because she got married straight from school and became a pastors wife.
When he was gone she had to find a way to support herself and her three children.
It has been a journey but God has been with her every step of the way.
Now all 3 kids are gone and married with their own families and
my friend, Judy, has her own Tea Shop where she serves (mostly ladies) High Teas, lunches, etc.
She LOVES her work!
I hope you are having a great weekend!!
Thanks for visiting!!

Like the bright colors used & Butterlfies. I was walking my dog the other day and we saw 3 pretty Butterflies. We mostly see white or yellow Butterflies but of the 3 we saw one was a Frittalary, other was a Monarch and not sure what the 3rd was. Have a BEE-utiful day!

What a great story of how your friend overcame a giant storm and has survived and is thriving. She is an inspiration for sure and how lucky to have a tea house (I had dreamed of one at one point in my life and I love them). Your card is wonderful and colorful and cheerful and sooo perfect for your friend. Many hugz to you and her, Robin.
