Father's Day Lighthouse

Happy Friday!
I hope your week has gone well! I thought this would be a quiet week around here...sigh..Dh has been out of town all week & I thought, well I'll miss him, but Yippee! I'll have lots of quality crafting time! Not quite..you know how it goes. His special watering system for his special plants (not the yard ones) isn't working quite as well as he thought. So I have to go out & hand water them. I get bit about 2 dozen times by some insect I don't even see & I'm miserable (allergic to insects). A plant in the house gets knocked over, so I end up vacuuming the whole house, upstairs & down. A stupid squirrel not only starts eating my hibiscus, he takes the almost opened flowers up on the patio table to eat them! The nerve! Well, I sprinkled it w/ red hot pepper flakes so he's getting a surprise if he tries it again. It just keeps getting busier & crafting keeps shrinking.

I did get this one done for Father's Day. Yay! I love the look of Prismacolor pencils on toned card stock..usually I'll pick kraft but I used gray for this one. After putting the lighthouse in my Misti, I stamped it w/ Memento, colored w/ Prismas, then overstamped w/ Versafine. Actually, no black pencils were used on the lighthouse..just very dark grays, lt grays & white. I finished off the scene by adding the water & seagulls then added a white mat on top. The greeting had to be split to fit the vertical pennant.
Here's a look at the inside. Since my dad lives a handful of states away, I thought this greeting was perfect. But since he was in the Air Force, I hope he doesn't think I signed him up in the Navy.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great weekend!
