Happy Easter

Good morning!!
I have a special fold card for you this morning using a die by Sizzix.

This is the card mostly closed (just open enough to stand on it's own).
Opened more to show that the center will swing the other direction to show the back when open completely.
This is the view shown mostly open (again, just enough of a fold to stand up).
I started my cuting my card base with the die (it includes the score lines) then proceeded to make a template for the swing part and then made it about 1/4" smaller in my computer and printed it out to use as a pattern.  I had to cut it myself as I have no die for the smaller inside part (there probably is one, I just don't have it!). I stamped the 3 wooden crosses in Pearlescent Purple Brilliance ink and then over-stamped the sentiment in black.  For the other side I just stamped my image/sentiment with black and colored the cross and letters.
The stamping on the card base was easy (I stamped on the wrong (smooth) side for easier stamping (I also made sure I die cut on the smooth side for a clean cut).  I was actually pleasantly surprized to find that I could color with my Copics on the lavender card stock without it changing the color to "mud".  The dragonfly, very sweet and finely detailed, I stamped because, well actually I had an ink booboo and had to "embellish" it, heehee!! That worked out nicely and you can't see my booboo any more (eh, well maybe if you use a magnifying glass you could!).
I sponged my white image panels with Sky Blue Brilliance and then
I glued my images to my card centers, added Stickles and Prills to the flower centers and Stickles to the dragonfly wings.
I decided on the dogwood branch for my background because it looks a bit like a wild rose and the song The Rose of Sharon kept going through my mind because of Christ and Easter.
First Verse:
Lord Jesus, my sweet Rose of Sharon,
My Prophet, my Priest, and my King—
To Thee I will sing all my praises,
For blessings Thy mercy doth bring.
All glory and honor to Jesus,
Who offered His life on the cross,
To open a fountain for sinners,
And purchase a world that was lost.

I Googled the song, The Rose Of Sharon (author unknown/anonymous)
So if you would like to see the rest of the Lyrics, that is where to look.

Thanks for visiting today!

Robin, this is so darn beautiful!!!!! I love the fold but what is so great about it is how the fold really makes the images and sentiment stand out. Puts the focus where it needs to be. Great bg design and color too. Wow! Hugz

This is so amazing...I love the flip card and to stamp the dogwood on a colored base is just genius! And the addition of the dragon flies and glitter is the perfect touch :)
